🎉 🌍 Today, media representatives, stakeholders, and community leaders gathered in Muscat to celebrate the official launch of Oman Climate Week 2025!
Organized by the Oman Environment Authority, in partnership with UN Environment Programme, Sultan Qaboos University, the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Heritage and Tourism - Sultanate of Oman, and Birba, this highly anticipated event will take place from February 24-27, 2025 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
During the media briefing, H.E. Dr. Abdullah Al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, shared how this landmark event will bring together local and global experts to collaborate on impactful climate solutions. Media attendees and stakeholders were at the heart of the event, networking and discussing how Oman Climate Week will serve as a regional hub for climate innovation and cooperation.
The launch event not only marks the start of Oman Climate Week campaign, but also highlights Oman’s strong commitment to #OmanVision2040 and the #ParisAgreement. The event will foster community engagement and provide a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to unite and advance climate action across the region.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Kalbani, Director General of Environmental Affairs, stressed the importance of the community’s role in addressing the urgent climate crisis and celebrated the media's key role in amplifying these efforts.
