Khalid, Climate Change In-Charge at the Environment Authority of Oman, brings over 16 years of expertise in environmental compliance, climate change, and sustainability. He leads Oman’s Climate Affairs Department. His extensive work includes net-zero strategies, mitigation project management, adaptation planning, and climate finance, with a focus on carbon credits and ITMOS frameworks. A champion of Oman’s climate capacity-building, he has been pivotal in developing a master plan for carbon market growth in collaboration with Japan’s A6IP. Eng. Khalid’s prior role at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture further underscores his regulatory and environmental expertise. 🌟 Thrilled to have Dr. Aamir Hussain Bhat join the Scientific Committee for Oman Climate Week 2025! Dr. Bhat, a faculty member in the Applied Chemistry Section at University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Muscat, brings extensive expertise in sustainable innovations. His research focuses on waste-based polymer bio-nano-composites, nanofluids for oil well drilling, and nanocellulose from biomass. He is also skilled in nanomaterial synthesis using both top-down and bottom-up approaches. With an impressive record of around 70 publications in high-impact journals, an H-index of 30, and over 5,600 citations, Dr. Bhat’s contributions to science are remarkable.
