Today, on #CircularMonday, we are looking back to the #CircularWeek2024. This year, for the 7th edition, the Embassy supported 3 events: a competition devoted to industrial symbiosis and business transformation towards a circular economy, the European Sustainability Congress and the event on #ExtendedProducerResponsibility (#EPR). A pleasure to host @NLinPoland 🇳🇱Provincial Executive Erwin Hoogland and a delegation from the East Netherlands Development Agency @OostNL in 🇵🇱Warsaw. They were here for the @ReBuildUkraine 🇺🇦 conference. Some 12 companies from the East of the Netherlands joined the Dutch Trade Mission. Companies that can contribute to solutions in Ukraine, such as access to drinking water, energy and food production. Facilitator was the GO4EXPORT program of the 🇳🇱Province of Overijssel and the Province of Gelderland.

Het AgroWoman Institute, de Poolse Academie van Wetenschappen en de Nederlandse Ambassade in Polen zijn een enquête gestart die beoogt een beeld te krijgen over de rol van vrouwen in de landbouwsector en het welzijn van vrouwen op het platteland. De enquête is het begin van een onderzoek dat beoogd een beter inzicht te krijgen in functie en leefsituatie en algemene situatie van vrouwen in de landbouw anno 2024; een onderwerp waarover nog weinig bekend is. We weten veel over landbouw, we weten veel over boeren, maar missen kennis over vrouwen die met landbouw verbonden zijn. Indien u zich verbonden voelt met de landbouw of brede zin verbonden voelt met het platteland, dan willen we u vragen een korte vragenlijst in te vullen ten behoeve van ons onderzoek. 🥇 Honorary award of ZUS 🥇 The Political Department of our embassy was granted the honorary award by the President of ZUS, Mr. Zbigniew Derdziuk. It was handed over to Taco Stoppels, Deputy Head of Mission and the Head of the Political Department on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Polish Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) – a sister organisation of Dutch organisations UWV and Sociale Verzekeringsbank SVB. This success is undoubtedly the result of common effort of many experts working for ZUS and the Dutch institutions. We live in a rapidly changing world in which mobility of workers remains an essential characteristic. Social security institutions must keep up with this. This is a major challenge, requiring close international cooperation, good contacts as well as mutual understanding. All involved institutions share the same approach: digitalisation and automatisation is a key answer for the number of information that has to be shared. This should lead to a smooth exchange of data of Polish beneficiaries. However, let’s do not forget about the data accuracy. That is only possible to be ensured thanks to dedicated employees.
