EVCA is excited to announce the launch of the EVCA Club! Today, we officially kicked off our EVCA Club at NOVA Medical School - Faculdade de Ciências Médicas with inspiring talks and engaging discussions! The big aim is to promote knowledge exchange and discussion on topics related to extracellular vesicles and regularly bring together researchers and community members to cover everything from ongoing projects to protocol optimization and the latest published findings. Extracellular Vesicles have many biomedical applications in human health. However, EVs are also under investigation--or in some cases have even entered the marketplace--in applications like nutrition, cosmetics and cosmeceutics, agriculture and environment, veterinary medicine, and more, each with different opportunities and barriers to progress. For any EV application, what level of proof of efficacy is needed before use? And what can scientists, health practitioners, regulators, and others do to ensure that #EVs are used in the most effective and safe ways possible? Recently, the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles #ISEV established a new executive committee on Translation, Regulation, and Advocacy to tackle some of the questions associated with translation of EVs in different sectors.
