DRWO4.0: Transnational Workshop held in Gradište On November 20, 2024, the Transnational Workshop of the #DRWO40 project took place at the Centar kompetencija d.o.o. za istraživanje i razvoj in Gradište. This hybrid event allowed experts from across the #Danuberegion to participate in discussions on the integration of innovative #Industry40 (I4.0) solutions in the wood sector. The workshop covered following topics: ➡️ Industry 4.0 Capacity: Detailed overview of the potential of I4.0 and its applicability to the #forestry and #woodindustry, with a focus on stakeholder feedback and previous thematic events. ➡️ Stakeholder Engagement: Consolidating existing data and gathering new insights on the application of I4.0 in the #woodsector, aimed at strengthening collaboration amongst partners. ➡️ Best Practices and Methodologies: Presentation of successful examples and approaches that enable the implementation of I4.0 solutions in the wood sector. ➡️ Interdisciplinary Connections: A discussion on opportunities for linking wood sector with technologies such as #ICT, #mechatronics and the Internet of Things (#IoT) to develop smart and digital solutions based on I4.0 technologies. Event served as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the collaboration needed to integrate Industry 4.0 solutions in the forestry and wood industry. The Decorator Symposium, where we reflected on the gaps and potential business models within the circular economy was a sucessful event, arranged by the University of Nova Univerza v Novi Gorici / University of Nova Gorica. The DECORATOR project focuses on circularity in the construction sector as a holistic challenge, encompassing ecological, technical, socio-cultural and economic aspects. The circular economy has become a critical paradigm for rethinking how natural resources are used and managed. This approach contrasts with the traditional linear economy where resources are extracted, used and disposed of. In the construction sector, circular economy practices aim to use raw materials more efficiently, extend the life cycle of materials and reduce environmental impact. Tuesday, 1 October, 8.30 a.m. we have met at the former Santa Chiara Convent, Via Verdi 18, Gorizia. On 2 October at 8.30 a.m. we were at the premises of the Municipality of Nova Gorica, 1 EK Square.
