#ICYMI 🔵 Blue or aquatic foods – foods that are wild-caught or farmed from oceans, rivers, and lakes – are increasingly recognised as a priority for climate action, yet they are often overlooked in climate discussions and underfunded in mitigation and adaptation financing. New guidelines, produced by the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions, WorldFish, FAO, Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics, CARE, and the Environmental Defense Fund, share opportunities for governments to incorporate blue foods in nationally determined contributions and other climate strategies. 🎨 💻 Jessica Harwood, one of our COPtoonists, created some incredible and thought-provoking COPtoons to bring our #COP29 sessions to life. Jess is an Indian-British Australian artist, communications professional, and environmental campaigner living on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. She is passionate about climate justice and uses her art to drive people to take action on climate campaigns. Jess has done graphic recordings, comics, and illustrations for many Australian organisations working to drive Australia’s transition away from fossil fuels. She has had her work featured by the BBC, ABC and the Guardian. To bring art forward at COP29, artists collaborated with the Resilience Hub at #COP29Azerbaijan. From graphic harvests to COPtoons, these creatives interpreted our COP29 programming through beautiful and inspiring media. 🖌 #COPResilienceHub #COP29Azerbaijan #resilience #climatechange #RacetoResilience Global Resilience Partnership / Atlantic Council's Climate Resilience Center / International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) / SouthSouthNorth / Fundación Avina / SDI.
