Shanghai is now home to ARKET's first ever pop-up store. Celebrating the launch of the Autumn/Winter 2024 campaign in China, the new temporary store is designed in the brand's signature Nordic minimalistic style. Apart from a versatile selection of essentials for every occasion, the space also offers a Shanghai exclusive — the ARKET Sans limited capsule collection featuring T-shirts, canvas totes, leather cardholders and luggage tags, among others. A giant ARKET coffee cup installation adorns the exterior of the space, reflecting the brand's ARKET CAFÉ concept, and offers visitors a taste from the menu of speciality coffee. This year, the theme was “It’s Time”, highlighting the urgent need for progress. “To halt climate change we must collaborate, and events like this are a great platform to come together and share our experiences. This month we’re celebrating Sellpy* turning ten. In a decade the company has grown from a basement operation to a multinational e-commerce platform, helping people across Europe to buy and sell second hand in a simple way. This week our New Growth & Ventures team hosted their 2nd Annual Entrepreneurs’ Day. 26 companies working across fashion, sustainability, tech and retail came together in Stockholm. Nanna Andersen, Chief of New Growth & Ventures, Erik Lagerblad, Head of H&M Group Ventures and Peter Ekeberg, Head of Finance and Investments greeted the audience. “We believe you have so much potential to scale and change the industry. We are excited to be with you on that journey." Daniel Ervér, H&M Group CEO, and Adam Karlsson, H&M Group CFO, gave a keynote at the event. “H&M was founded on entrepreneurship and creativity. This has always been at our core and it is more important than ever for our future." Companies had the opportunity to network and attend breakout sessions led by startup founders and H&M Group colleagues. The day closed with dinner and an awards ceremony honouring Sellpy for Achievement of the Year, Rondo Energy for Buzz of the Year and Katherine Homuth, founder of SRTX, as Entrepreneur of the Year. We have entered into an agreement to help tackle deforestation in the Brazilian state of Pará. The deal was brokered by LEAF Coalition, which brings together corporations and governments. It will provide investment to preserve critical forests and support communities. The Amazon is a critical ecosystem in the fight to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°. We have to halt deforestation to avoid dangerous tipping points that can further accelerate climate change. Proceeds from the agreement will finance programs to reduce deforestation and support sustainable economic development. Economic benefits will be equitably shared with Indigenous Peoples, traditional communities and family farmers who are on the frontline in the battle against deforestation. “Protecting tropical forests is essential to safeguarding biodiversity and addressing climate change. We must work together to make a difference”, comments Leyla Ertur, Director of Sustainability, H&M Group.
