One month into my return, and while the Nordic chill still lingers in my memories, I'm learning to love Singapore's familiar warmth all over again. Exactly a year ago this time, I arrived in Stockholm, filled with the excitement of what would be the most memorable year of my life. Reflecting on this past year, I realise just how transformative the NOC Stockholm program has been for me. My interest in MedTech started when I was in my freshman year, which pushed me towards the path of entrepreneurship, and a field I believed I would be able to make a difference in. Hence, when I was given the chance to intern at Interlinked AB, I was beyond elated as everything I had done up until that point served as preparation. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to my founders, Katarina Hedbeck and Rebecca Stjernberg Bejhed, whose relentless dedication to building a revolutionary startup in the MedTech space has inspired me to be steadfast and purpose-driven as well. A heartfelt thank you to Dr Ujala Bhardwaj, for your invaluable mentorship that has helped me hone my skills in regulatory affairs, while always taking the time to check in on my well-being throughout the past year. I am grateful to the company and my colleagues for enabling me to explore different roles, supporting my growth, and believing in my abilities. Traveling through Europe to witness its beautiful landscapes has always been on my bucket list. Being able to do so in my 20s was refreshing and an experience I will always be grateful for. Connecting with diverse individuals and immersing myself in new cultures was memorable. Living on my own on the other hand has taught me resilience, and most importantly, the value of mental health, leaving me with renewed strength to face future hurdles. A big thank you to NUS Overseas Colleges, for offering me this incredible opportunity. This program has been more than just an academic endeavour; it has been a life-changing experience that has broadened my perspectives, both personally and professionally. To my mentor, Anna Frostegård—thank you for your encouragement and invaluable advice, especially when my batchmates and I needed it most. Thank you, Per Björklund, for your incredible business mentorship and for helping us develop an entrepreneurial mindset for our project BiliLife. Your guidance played a crucial role in helping us obtain the NOC Business Pitch VIP grant. To my parents, thank you for your unwavering trust, love, and belief in me. Your encouragement to pursue this opportunity has been my greatest strength. To all my friends —words can’t express how deeply grateful I am for the late-night FaceTime calls and constant support you’ve given me every step of the way. Stockholm, and more importantly, the people I’ve met over this course have left an indelible mark in my life.
