🌟The clinical study on SutureTOOL™ has successfully concluded! This brings us at Suturion closer to obtaining FDA approval and CE mark. The study, conducted with five surgeons on 38 patients, focused on achieving effective abdominal closure following open abdominal surgeries, monitored by Swiss CRO CROss Alliance®. Preliminary results are promising, showing efficient fascia closure in line with guidelines. The study will soon be submitted for publication, where we’ll share the complete data. A staggering truth: Surgical site infections (SSIs) occur in 10-18% of patients after laparotomies, making them the most common post-surgical complication (Millbourn et al., 2009, Broach et al., 2017).
