When it comes to fibre reinforced concrete, who doesn’t love a good panel test? Panel tests like the ASTM C1550 Round Determinate Panel test are an excellent way to see fibre reinforced concrete in action. They show us what happens when concrete cracks, and more importantly, how fibres perform afterwards. In this test you can see #BarChip macro synthetic fibres step in when cracks form, bridging the gap, absorbing load and providing post crack residual strength.  Why does this matter? Residual strength is critical for ensuring the durability and toughness of concrete structures over time. Get in touch and find out for yourself why BarChip is the trusted choice for engineers and builders worldwide. #paneltests #RDP #ASTMC1550 #EFNARC #fibrereinforcedconcrete #shotcrete #fibrereinforcedshotcrete #shotcretetesting #concretetesting

  • Why stick to old methods when #BarChip macro synthetic fibres can take your precast concrete production to the next level? ✅ No More Steel Placement – Eliminate the time and labour of placing steel reinforcement. ✅ Faster Production – Simplify casting processes by eliminating steel installation processes. ✅ Lower Costs – Save on materials, transport, and labour. ✅ Less Carbon – Low carbon reinforcement verified by EPD’s. ✅ Better Durability – BarChip fibres are 100% corrosion free. BarChip fibres make precast concrete smarter and stronger, cutting your costs without compromising quality. Do yourself a favour, switch to fibre reinforced precast concrete today. • When it comes to reinforcing #concrete #flooring, BarChip macro synthetic fibre delivers a powerful triple threat of benefits that sets it apart from traditional reinforcement methods. 1) Residual Strength: ensuring the concrete maintains structural integrity even after cracking. 2) Shrinkage Crack Control: to reduce the likelihood of cracking during the curing process. 3) Fibre Free Surface Finish: for an aesthetic and functional concrete surface. This "triple threat" makes #BarChip particularly valuable for concrete flooring applications, offering performance, durability, and finish quality all in one package. It’s never been easier to start designing your fibre reinforced concrete floors. Simply sign up for the free BarChip design dashboard and get preliminary designs in just a few minutes. • Construtec 2024 was a massive success last week, with over 90,000 participants focused on advancing modern solutions for the construction industry. Denis Crehan and Peter Schaul were on hand to represent BarChip with our valued partners Fibratec. If you're in EMEA, drop them a DM and find out how you can incorporate fibres into your concrete.

  • How good are these invert segments from the Oliola Water Tunnel? Finding these photos reminded us of the durability built into every part of this 7,000m tunnel, with #BarChip fibre reinforcing the temporary shotcrete lining, the cast in situ lining and the invert segments. Now there’s a tunnel that’s making sure it’s corrosion free and built to last. This project may have wrapped up years ago, but it’s a great example of how projects can keep concrete corrosion free, no matter the conditions. Pretty good photos too. #tunnelengineering #infrastructure #fibrerenforcedconcrete #tunnelling #precastconcrete #invertsegments #corrosionfree #fibreconcrete
