Meet SiLViA – our new assistant who communicates through sign language! Powered by Generative AI technology, SiLViA can translate spoken and written words into sign language, helping passengers who are hard of hearing with their travel queries. Whether it is assisting with navigating routes or providing directions, SiLViA is here to help! She will be stationed at the North East Line's Chinatown Station from July. Another warm smile awaits passengers over at Ang Mo Kio Interchange. Known as AIVA, this friendly digital concierge will help passengers with their travel and wayfinding queries starting this June. Also powered by GenAI technology, she chats fluently with passengers to provide prompt assistance and helpful information. As a leading public transport operator in Singapore, our commitment goes beyond getting our passengers to their destinations efficiently — we strive to ensure that every ride with us is a delightful experience, where every commuter feels valued and supported. Today marked a significant milestone as we officially launched the SBS Transit Mobility Innovation Centre (MINNOVA), an innovation hub where local start-ups, SMEs, academia, industry leaders, government agencies and more, can come together to network, brainstorm and co-create innovative solutions to address challenges in the public transport industry. At the launch event, we also signed six Memoranda of Understanding with our partners to develop homegrown mobility-related solutions, aiming to build a smarter, greener and more accessible public transport network for Singapore.

Excited to share our recent ACEpiration with the National Youth Council Singapore's 2nd China-Singapore Youth Leader Campus (CSYLC) programme! 🌟   CSYLC aims to promote youth cooperation on themes like digital innovation and sustainability and to build long-term friendships among youth leaders.   During the tour around Launchpad, an ACE.SG Ecosystem Sharing, we had the pleasure of hosting Mr. He Gong, Co-Founder of FINGERDANCE PTE. This momentous occasion was graced by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies. These Awards will boost the translation of cutting-edge research and innovation achieved by NUS faculty and researchers into impactful solutions. We are also allocating S$10 million to provide more pre-seed funding to successful teams through the enhanced GRIP 2.0 under the NUS Graduate Research Innovation Programme (GRIP). We are excited to share that commuters will be able to enjoy an enhanced travel experience on our rail and bus networks come 2024 with three new initiatives: 1. Commuters can enjoy better connectivity and convenience for their daily commutes by hopping onto a shared bicycle or car for their first- and last-mile train journeys along our North East and Downtown Lines. This new initiative not only encourages active mobility but also contributes to a more sustainable Singapore by reducing carbon emissions. To add to the excitement, a new "bike village" with food and retail options will also be set up beneath Punggol MRT Station! 2. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we are developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution that aims to enhance communication with hearing-impaired commuters by offering real-time translation of speech to sign language or written words. 3. There will be a new feature on our SBS Transit app that provides customised information based on a commuter's location during a train service disruption. With this, commuters can easily check out alternative travel options or the nearest designated bus stop for free regular or bridging bus rides.
