Leading businesses and brands in transformation, a dearly held principle at Louken is to always advance: through challenges, obstacles, and adversity, always learning, absorbing, growing. Discussing this at length is our CEO, Haoming Lee, who recently chatted with FedEx Asia Pacific for their Confessions of a CEO series. Sharing personal experiences leading digital transformation and global expansion at Louken, he outlines a few key lessons from his journey: why digital transformation is more about people than technology, how staying focused on what matters most is what drives sustainable success, and, above all, how learning never stops. A must-read for entrepreneurs navigating the lightning pace of growth in today's world. 👉 Check out the full article here: https://bit.ly/48X6g3v

It’s amazing what partnerships with purpose can do, as our recent collab with Mentoring SG on the 2024 National Mentoring Summit made plain. Meaningful on many levels, highlights included seeing seven-time Paralympic champion Pin Xiu Y. on stage with guest of honour Mentoring SG Advisor and Minister of State Alvin Tan sharing mentorship stories. Embodying the summit theme “Mentoring Matters: Guiding Today, Shaping Tomorrow”, their experiences show anything is possible through hard work and careful guidance. Since 2019, the summit has brought together leaders, practitioners, and advocates to exchange ideas, share best practices, and celebrate mentorship's possibilities. It was especially thrilling to work behind the scenes on the event concept, design, programming, and setup. Not just to see our vision come together and be appreciated, but to be part of something we strongly believe in. Massive thanks to Kelvin Kong, Executive Director of Mentoring SG, and to the Mentoring SG team for the chance to co-create this platform for inspiration, and to everyone who came to fire up the spirit of mentorship. What a great honour to be the event experience partner that organized the National Mentoring Summit 2024!! The theme for this year’s edition was “Mentoring Matters”, something I strongly resonate with and that we support at Louken Group. Being a mentor is important to me—to pay forward what I learned, take every opportunity to open doors for others. Working behind the scenes on the event reminded me of the impact mentorship has not only on someone’s life, but the life of the community at large. As the guest of honour, Minister of State and Mentoring SG advisor Alvin Tan said, “Mentoring Matters because it serves as the bridge between today’s actions and tomorrow’s success. Mentoring Matters because it can impact our corporates, our communities, and our country.” And listening to the fireside chat with seven-time Paralympic champion Pin Xiu Y. was truly inspiring! 💪🏻 It’s exciting to see Singapore’s mentorship culture evolving and be a part of it. I couldn’t be prouder to share with my team the commitment to guide the next generation! Thanks to GLENN LIM, Kelvin Kong, May Yee, Chui, Koh Kim Neo and the Mentoring SG team for the opportunity to work together in a way that was truly supportive and collaborative. It’s these kinds of partnerships that make the world a better place. 🤍 Here’s to all the mentors, mentees, and leaders making these connections meaningful and impactful! 🫡 National Youth Council Singapore | Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) #Louken #MentoringMatters

We’re still buzzing from the first Lighthouse Brand Sharing Day. Held recently at the state-of-the-art UBS Singapore Business Hub, the day was all about giving our cohort a platform for their brands, presenting plans and ideas to some of the sharpest minds in business: Sameer Mehta, Managing Director and Head of DSG Consumer Partners, Southeast Asia; Anthony Tjajadi, Founding Partner, Trihill Capital; and Luke Lim, Supermom Business CEO as well as Louken Group Founder and Chairman. Brands had 15 minutes each to pitch concepts and market entry ideas for Indonesia, and they all certainly made the most of it. Panel discussions were lively and spirited, with panellists sparking discussions by probing further with thought-provoking questions and sharing thoughts, insights, and recommendations. Brand Sharing Day marks another programme milestone for our stalwart cohort, a rare opportunity for invaluable investor and industry insider feedback on what already works or can still be improved. Massive, massive thanks to our venerable panellists Sameer Mehta, Anthony Tjajadi and Luke Lim for their time and knowledge, and to UBS for being an excellent venue partner and host, providing the ideal forum setting as part of their commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and brands. What’s next? Our cohort takes on the next phases of the programme armed to the teeth with fresh insights and perspectives. Moving closer and closer to the endgame, stay tuned!

Jakarta, a vibrant city full of energy and endless opportunities! 🇮🇩✨ We recently embarked on an incredible mission trip with the first cohort for Lighthouse, our accelerator programme built in partnership with Enterprise Singapore. Over an action-packed week, the cohort forged alliances with strategic partners, setting the stage for growth. The cohort also took the opportunity to learn more about the nuances of the local market by diving deep into Jakarta’s happening retail scene.🚀 We were truly honoured to have the support of distinguished local government leaders Dr. Dave Laksono (Member of Parliament), Nurul Ichwan (Deputy at Ministry of Investment), Major General Rano Tillar (LEMHANAS), and Mr. Edward Sioewardi (Special Envoy to the Minister of Trade) who graced our event and learned more about Singapore's homegrown brands. A special shoutout goes out to JKTGO, HEPMIL Media Group, and Brightspot Market, for graciously sharing valuable marketing insights into the local market through curated masterclasses. While the mission trip marks the halfway point of our programme, more exciting things still lie ahead. Stay tuned for the rest of this amazing journey as we continue to make waves! “As a venture builder at Louken Group, I know that growth requires more than just funding. It demands a deep understanding of your values, a clear brand purpose, and a commitment to sustainable scaling.” Our CEO Haoming Lee reflects on his experience as a judge at the CRIB Pte Ltd x Launchpad Business for Good Pitch Festival. Doing our part to build strong entrepreneur communities, read more on what went down.
As a judge at the 4th Business for Good Pitch Festival a couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of witnessing courageous entrepreneurs pitch their innovative, ethical businesses to a live audience. I was impressed to say the least! Big respect to Tanvi R Thombre 🌱 (Greenairy), Cissy K. & Jasmine Huang Qian (MOMIJI), Wendy Wei G, PhD (Nubiotech Company) and Florence Leong (KosmodeHealth Singapore)—your passion and desire to make an impact is truly inspiring. What struck me most was the diversity of women-led businesses, each driven by purpose and determination. From sustainable solutions to healthcare innovations, these founders demonstrated the power of conscious entrepreneurship. As a venture builder at Louken Group, I know that growth requires more than just funding. It demands a deep understanding of your values, a clear business purpose, and a commitment to sustainable scaling. During the pitch festival, I posed challenging questions to encourage these entrepreneurs to think critically about their business models and long-term impact. It's not just about growth; it's about creating positive change. To all the bold entrepreneurs who took the stage, I wish you continued success. Remember why you started, stay adaptable, and keep innovating! 🚀 Thanks to Launchpad X CRIB for hosting this incredible event and Chris Edwards of Honeycombers for the invite! It's events like these that remind me of the power of entrepreneurship to drive positive movement. #Louken #Impact

Synergy happened when our CEO Haoming Lee sat down with Timothy Ho from DollarsAndSense.sg and Andre Chong from JustCo as co-panelists at the latest Brandwatch marketing boot camp. For more insights on the journey of branding and how it helps companies thrive, read on.
Looking back on Brandwatch Bootcamp Singapore, a few important themes stuck with me that I believe are crucial for homegrown brands. It was a truly enriching fireside chat, filled with candid conversations, laughter, and valuable insights shared with Timothy Ho from DollarsAndSense.sg and Andre Chong from JustCo, as we delved into the nuances of building and scaling successful Singaporean brands. Two key themes stood out: - Branding is a living journey. It's not a one-time exercise, but an evolving process that requires constant reflection on your core values and identity. Your brand is a reflection of your people, and its growth is deeply tied to theirs. - Strategic partnerships are vital: Collaborating with like-minded businesses can amplify your brand's reach and impact. Shared values are the foundation of successful partnerships. At Louken Group, we've seen these principles in action through our Lighthouse accelerator program (https://bit.ly/4gHLUz3), as we empowered home-grown brands to expand globally while staying true to their unique stories. To all the bold entrepreneurs and brands daring to make their mark globally: stay authentic and focused on your core values. With the right partnerships and mindset, Singaporean brands can truly shine on the world stage! 🔥 #Louken #Brandwatch

“I could only achieve what I have today because I’m standing on the shoulders of giants—my teammates, partners, and friends.” - Haoming Lee Last week at The Business Show Asia, our CEO, Haoming delivered an inspiring keynote on "Business Dilemma: Scale Up or Slow Down" to entrepreneurs and business owners. He shared invaluable wisdom from his days running lifestyle events like Artbox to managing a coffee business at Huggs, and now leading the team at Louken. His key insights: - Put in time and effort to understand your brand’s heartbeat, do your research—all to create true value for those you serve. - As business owners, having discipline, financially and emotionally, is crucial. - Forge meaningful strategic partnerships; success is sweeter with friends by your side. “Success today is merely a reflection of the things you've done in the past. It doesn’t define your future success. Being grounded and open-minded are very important traits I see in successful business owners,” said Haoming during the keynote. Let’s look forward to hearing more of Haoming’s insightful perspectives at upcoming events!
