New Hope Community Services

Civic and Social Organizations

We are a social service agency in Singapore working to restore hope to the displaced and disadvantaged in our community.

About us

Our work first began in 2003 when four homeless men approached Pastor Andrew (our Founder & CEO) seeking refuge. A year later, New Hope Community Services (NHCS) was born. We currently run four transitional shelters around Singapore and provide various services and programmes that help our clients break out of the poverty cycle and achieve long term financial resilience and independence. Our Vision: To be a beacon of New Hope to the displaced and disadvantaged in the community. Our Mission: To restore HOPE to those we serve.

  • Proving that age is just a number! 🌟 We had an amazing time organizing the Rummy-O competition with SATA COMMHEALTH at Kampung Siglap a few weeks ago! This fun-filled event brought together seniors from various communities, showcasing their skills, strategy, and sportsmanship. What inspired us most was the infectious energy and enthusiasm of our participants, proving that age is indeed just a number! This event is also in support of the educational outreach effort on preventive healthcare which SATA CommHealth is bringing to the seniors in the Community. A special shoutout to SATA Commhealth for the partnership and to our incredible volunteers, including some of our amazing clients who gave back to the community—thank you for making this event a success! We're so grateful for your time, effort, and dedication. You’re the real champions! 🏆

  • "It all starts with a tiny step. So, if you have an idea or you want to volunteer, find people who share the same passion as you and go for it!” Sometimes, it starts with us recognizing an unmet need in our society. That’s how it was for Hilman, co-founder of Project Sahur, a charity to aid lower-income households with free Sahur meals during the month of Ramadan. This is — Why I Do What I Do. Today marks the start of the SG Cares Giving Week! Be a part of this movement and join our volunteering opportunities in Kreta Ayer and Bukit Merah Town! • Happy Thanksgiving! Though Thanksgiving Day is not widely celebrated in Singapore, let's take a moment to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Today, we're especially grateful for: Our Clients and their resilience, courage, determination, and trust in us. Our Dedicated Staff and their hard work, compassion, and commitment. Our Volunteers, Donors, and Partners for their generosity, kindness, and partnership. And.. YOU! We are grateful for every single one of you. Thank you for supporting us in our mission 🫶 What is one thing you’re grateful for? #thanksgiving
