  • Our CEO, Tony Soh, was invited to speak at the National Community Leadership Institute  (NACLI)'s Leadership in Community Programme—a six-month programme developing leadership skills among community leaders within and beyond the People's Association, covering topics such as social cohesion and community engagement.  In his presentation on “Empowering Community Engagement, Building Our Shared Future Together,”  Tony spoke about how community engagement creates a foundation for collective action by building social capital that strengthens trust, collaboration, and reciprocity.  He also emphasised the pivotal role of cross-sector collaboration in mobilising and synergising resources, expertise, and the efforts of different sectors to tackle common problems. From enabling everyone to give through giving.sg and activating companies through NVPC’s  Company of Good  and Project V, to ground-up movements such as  BAGUS Together, Tony highlighted stories of how sustained giving and collective action through diverse means wouldcan be key to strengthening our social fabric. When individuals, businesses, and nonprofits come together, we can shape a brighter shared future for Singapore where giving is second nature and part of who we are. A big thank you to NACLI and the People’s Association for inviting NVPC to be part of this meaningful conversation!   #nvpc #nacli #peoplesassociation #communityleadership

  • In the world of business, leaders constantly manage internal priorities from resource allocation to organisational design — while navigating external ones, such as adapting to market dynamics and forging strategic partnerships. At the CNA Leadership Summit 2025, NVPC was a returning Impact Partner, with our CEO, Tony Soh joining Singapore’s business leaders in dynamic discussions. Guided by a strong Corporate Purpose, businesses can effectively balance strategic priorities with driving long-term value for both society and stakeholders. The summit reinforced the crucial link between business success and positive social impact—a principle core to our initiatives such as the Company of Good Recognition System and Company of Good Fellowship programme, which continue to welcome corporate participation this year.  Follow Company of Good for updates from the world of everyday good in business, and watch the summit recordings here: https://lnkd.in/gUXbAnZC   #NVPC #CompanyofGood #CNA #CNASummit #CNALeadershipSummit #Tradeoffs #CorporatePurpose

  • 🌟 Walk the Talk: Volunteering in Action 🌟   At NVPC, we believe in walking the talk when it comes to giving back. In addition to our corporate volunteering programmes, our employees are given six days of volunteer leave annually, and they can use this time to volunteer for causes that are close to their hearts.   Meet Luke Phang, Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, who spent his volunteer leave supporting seniors at KampungKakis — a ground-up initiative turned charity where his wife works.   “Ageing alone is tough, and as Singapore’s population ages, social isolation is becoming more common. Helping seniors age gracefully and fostering intergenerational bonds is something I truly believe in.   “KampungKakis is a small charity with fewer than five full-time staff, so volunteers play a crucial role. I had the opportunity to chaperone about two dozen seniors from Boon Lay to Gardens by the Bay, ensuring they were safe and comfortable throughout the trip. It was heartwarming to see them enjoying the experience and connecting with volunteers.”   Volunteering is more than just giving our time - it’s about building connections, cultivating empathy, and strengthening our community.

  • So, You Want to be a NonProfit Director? In partnership with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), our Centre for Non-Profit Leadership (CNPL) team hosted this workshop designed to help aspiring nonprofit directors navigate board leadership. With insights from Adrian Chan and Su-Yen Wong, FSID (SID), Tse Chuan Loong (Allen & Gledhill LLP), Anbarasan Thuraimanikam and Edwin Yeo (CNPL), participants gained a clearer understanding of Singapore’s nonprofit director landscape, the responsibilities, obligations and risks involved, and the steps to grow in their directorship journey.
