📈 Faster, resilient, and adaptable supply chains 🤝 Collaboration with industry 💷 Driving economic growth   Our Defence Support organisation welcomed the Minister for Defence Procurement and Industry, Rt Hon Maria Eagle MP, at an industry engagement event for the Defence Supply Chain Capability Programme (DSCCP).   💡 The DSCCP is challenging defence and industry to think differently about how they create greater speed, resilience and adaptability in end-to-end supply chains to underpin our war-fighting edge.   Minister Eagle heard what the programme has delivered in just 7 months and what these changes mean for driving economic growth through the defence industrial base.   She also relayed the government’s support for defence industry going faster and further, with a diverse range of suppliers being critical to our collective success.   🌍 With global geopolitical developments moving rapidly, DSCCP will play a vital role in delivery of the Defence Industrial Strategy. 📲 Read more about the Strategy: https://lnkd.in/eAws94vU

Earlier today at the Memorial Gates in London, Armed Forces personnel attended a service in remembrance of the bravery of the 5 million Commonwealth volunteers who fought alongside Britain in the World Wars. Today, these historic alliances with Commonwealth nations continue to play a vital role in strengthening global security, enhancing our ability to promote peace and stability worldwide.

👏 On #CommonwealthDay, we celebrate the strong links and shared history between the UK and the Commonwealth. This annual celebration is observed by people throughout the Commonwealth in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific, and Europe. Marked every year since the 1970s, the day is an opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitment to the principles of unity, peace, and equality.

📹A brilliant update on the Catterick Integrated Care Centre. 🤝This is the first of its kind partnership between the UK Ministry of Defence and the NHS to provide medical services to military personnel and the local civilian community.

🛰️ SKYNET is the UK Ministry of Defence’s satellite communication (SATCOM) capability, it supports operations by delivering information to UK and allied forces around the world; enabling battlefield information advantage anywhere, anytime. 🤝 Co-sponsored by Strategic Command and UK Space Command, SKYNET 6 represents the single largest government investment in the UK space industry, and highlights the nation's commitment to developing its space capabilities. ✅ The programme passed a key milestone at a new UK Government funded National Satellite Test Facility in Harwell - operated by RAL Space - with successful completion of the initial testing phase of the SKYNET 6A satellite. 🇬🇧This project directly sustains 550 highly skilled jobs throughout the country, with the Harwell Campus home to over 100 local and international space organisations. 🌍 SKYNET continues to play a critical role in the UK's military SATCOM infrastructure, supporting whole force integration so that the armed forces remain connected and informed wherever they operate.    📲Read more about SKYNET and the newest satellite that will leverage the latest advancements in technology. ✒️ We have signed a new Geospatial Exchange Agreement with the Ministry of Defence of Singapore's The Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) to further our co-operation in the exchange of Geospatial Information and Services.   We are delighted to reaffirm this agreement on the year of the 60th anniversary of the Independence of Singapore, building on the long-standing relationship between Strategic Command’s National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence and the DIS' Imagery Support Group.   🇬🇧 🤝 🇸🇬 Together we will continue to strengthen our strategic partnership. 💻 Cyber-attacks never pause and malicious cyber activity has grown in intensity, complexity, and severity, extending beyond international boundaries. 🛰 Defence Cyber Marvel 4, in London and Seoul, saw teams from 26 nations compete to combat a simulated satellite hack. 🤝 Collaboration between industry and allies demonstrated how sharing skills, strategies and expertise across borders strengthens our collective cyber defence capability. 🌍 Working side by side with the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force (RAF) and international partners, we're tackling realistic threats in real-world scenarios - because when it comes to cyber security, a united response is our strongest defence. #DCM4 #CyberDefence
