🚀 We’re thrilled to share that Manta Flow, a dynamic startup emerging from Studio 30 50’s first Danish cohort in May 2024, has received support from Den Danske Maritime Fond! 👏 Founded by Christian Spaargaren and Vladyslav Zavalykhatko, Manta Flow is addressing a key challenge in the maritime sector with a digital platform that strengthens communication between crew members at sea and management onshore. Their platform aims to enhance crew wellbeing and improve operational efficiency, showing that crew satisfaction and company performance can go hand in hand. 💙 🌊 Through Studio 30 50, Christian and Vladyslav gained essential support and connections to industry partners, which enabled them to bring their idea to life. This is one of the concrete results from our cohort in spring 2024, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress they’re making. The magic of #SMAGIC... ✨ New ideas, innovation, and addressing the major challenges in the #maritimeindustry took centre stage last week as Studio 30 50 co-hosted #SMAGIC3i in Copenhagen. Participants experienced a condensed version of a Studio 30 50 sprint, moving from ideation to pitch in just a few dynamic, energy-packed hours. ⚡💡 At Studio 30 50, we work across the global maritime innovation ecosystem to ensure the best ideas reach the right platforms, and last week’s event emphasized the impact of this approach. 🚀 As part of #SMAGIC3i, three of the very promising startups from our first Danish cohort - Harbour Helper, Manta Flow, and NextMariner - showcased their innovative solutions. Each is driving change with fresh approaches to critical industry challenges, and we can’t wait to follow their continued journey. 🚢🔍 We are honoured that Danish Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov, made time to join the event. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of shortening the journey from idea to innovation. At Studio 30 50, we are especially excited to be co-hosting #SMAGIC3i – Integrating Investment with Innovation on October 3rd. 🚀 This high-energy event bridges the gap between investment and innovation, offering a platform for networking, collaboration, and tackling key challenges in the maritime sector. 🤝 At this event, the first Smart Maritime Innovation Sprint: Bridging Start-Ups, Investors, and Corporates will be launched. Here you’ll get a sneak peek of what happens during a Studio 30 50 sprint, showcasing the collaborative environment and innovative spirit that drive maritime innovation. Startups, investors, and corporates will team up to pitch solutions to a panel of experts – it’s the place to be if you are interested in maritime innovation and how to tackle the industry’s biggest challenges! 🌟 At #SMAGIC3i, you’ll also have the chance to meet some of the very promising founders from our first Danish cohort in May, all of whom have already made significant progress: 🌐 Manta Flow, founded by Christian Spaargaren and Vladyslav Zavalykhatko, has developed a data-driven solution aimed at enhancing crew welfare and safety on ships. Manta Flow’s user-friendly, anonymous platform enables crew members to swiftly communicate issues, fostering a better and safer work environment. Manta Flow has already attracted strong investor interest and is currently conducting extensive tests with OSM Thome, a ship management company operating a fleet of 1,000 vessels. 🌈 NextMariner, founded by marine engineer Neha Mehta, is developing an innovative HR-tech platform dedicated to nurturing future seafarers from the ground up. NextMariner enhances hiring efficiency and strengthens the maritime workforce, all while addressing the critical need for greater inclusion and diversity in crews. The platform offers a holistic approach that leverages technology to empower the maritime community, opening doors to new opportunities for the next generation of seafarers. Several major Danish companies have recognised the potential of the platform and are supporting its development towards an official launch. ⚓ Harbour Helper, founded by Thomas J., has created an AI-based solution to enhance decision-making and efficiency at port arrivals, including the management and submission of the various IMO-FAL forms, such as passenger and crew lists, among other applications. Since the spring sprint, Harbour Helper has created a unique AI tool and is currently negotiating agreements with investors for this promising venture. ✨ We’re looking forward to connecting key actors and creating new opportunities for innovation in the maritime sector!
