Healthy sprouts in six days.
March 14th 2017

Bringing healthy food to the table, especially for the growing children, has never been this easy. We soak the seeds the first day for 24 hours. Then every morning and evening we fill the jars with water to do a shake and rinse. So, simply fill the jars, shake and pour the water out. once you’ve shaken the water out of the jars simply lay the jars on their side next to the sink. Keep them close and convenient. In six days you’ll have jars full of clean and organic sprouts for salads and sides. The nutritional value is exponentially higher when the beans open and the taproot grows. This is a great solution for anybody who feels they are too busy to grow their own healthy foods. With simple old-school methods no one has excuses and there is no light required. Moreover, the sweet and crunchy experience usually wins over the children.

From our experience, if you have an active lifestyle and need easily digestible foods that translate into quick and clean energy, this is definitely a route for you guys to explore.

I hope this message finds you guys excited about getting ready for the spring time.

Recycle and repurpose
January 24th 2016

We have discovered that the foodgrade plastic containers that cakes and breads come in from the grocery store make excellent grow trays. All one has to do is flip the bottom upside down and it holds water. Put the clear plastic top on and boom!! You saved yourself 30 bucks. If you put two side-by-side they are the same length as a standard grow tray so using these food trays work well with standard T5 grow lighting systems. We hope this post finds you enjoying this little life hack. Don’t let the cost of professional grade equipment stop you from a successful grow this year! Respectfully, K

Children making their own snacks.
December 7, 2015

Organic apples and cinnamon cut to quarter inch slices and dehydrated for 4 ½ hours at 125°

A child that’s not busy will easily play into mischief. The time and effort put into teaching our children household responsibilities at early age is just now beginning to pay off. Seeing them wash the dishes this evening made the few broken dishes and glasses in the past all worth it. They make their beds, do their laundry, and now we are putting effort into having them make their own snacks. We believe this will be the prerequisite to cooking. The apple peeler, food dehydrator, and vacuum sealer are relatively safe and easy enough to use for our five and six-year-old. We gave little supervision on this round but the next one will be all up to them, from start to finish. Once done, The kitchen should be clean as if making dehydrated apples never happened. We call this opening and closing the experience. Which is something most adults find to be a challenge.

We hope our latest post finds you enjoying the simple pleasures.

Respectfully,
