Sunil Gavaskar expressed his frustration after India lost the series 1-3 to Australia and failed to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. NEW DELHI: Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar was no less than furious after India succumbed to a six-wicket defeat against Australia in Sydney on Sunday.
The win enabled Australia to win the series 3-1 and reclaim the coveted Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time since 2014-15.

This victory also put the Aussies into the World Test Championship final in June at Lord's against South Africa.
In a video that is viral on social media, Gavaskar, flanked by former India pacer Irfan Pathan, can be seen speaking to the host broadcaster after the match.
When asked by the presenter about what India should do to improve after the series defeat, Gavaskar says, "Who are we? We don't know cricket. We just speak just for the sake of TV and get money, don't listen to us, we're nothing. Listen from one ear, remove from another."

Do You Agree with Sunil Gavaskar’s Critical Comments on the Indian Cricket Team?

This is not the first time that Gavaskar has criticized the Indian cricketers.

Gavaskar had slammed Rishabh Pant for his irresponsible shot-selection in a situation when the team needed him to build a partnership on Day 3 of the fourth Test against Australia in Melbourne.
Trying to manufacture an audacious ramp shot with India's score reading 191 for 5 in response to Australia's 474, Pant was caught at deep third-man for 28 -- gifting his wicket to Scott Boland.
"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid," Gavaskar reacted in anger while doing commentary. "You've got two fielders there and you still go for that (shot). You had missed the previous shot, and look where you've been caught. You've been caught at deep third-man."
