Our CEO Dr Tahirih Danesh, PhD Law is currently touring Education Town and our new campuses in Southern Africa, including #Johannesburg where she was able to join our founder Dr Taddy Blecher welcome Rehumanize Institute delegation to our new sites. Thank you Laila Pawlak for your support and commitment to Education Town
Founder & CEO Rehumanize Institute & former CEO SingularityU Nordic. Speaker, facilitator, author & investor
Starting from nothing to build an entire education town with a vision to educate thousands of future leaders of Africa. Maharishi Invincibility Institute and my dear friend Taddy Blecher is literally changing their country! Everyone should have access to quality education and not just that - everyone should have the opportunity to grow themselves to be able to make an impact in their community. By focusing on the whole person - not just skills - Maharishi is changing lives of thousands of youth and I couldn't be prouder to be collaborating with them all and bringing participants from Rehumanize Institute's Responsible Business Program (in collaboration with Accenture Nordics) to experience first hand how this is done. By literally lighting, coloring and cleaning up their nabourhood they are transforming an entire area from darkness and drugs to learning and movement - education, sports and hopeful safe lives. Thank you to all staff and students for your warm welcome and taking so good care of us, the wonderful culinary school who served an amazing lunch, the choir who made us cry with their welcome and to our very own Darrel Landsberg (former graduate from Maharishi) for stellar coordination. I can't wait to come back to see how the whole area is transforming into Education town. Thank you for the ecosystem action you're making happen!

The True Cost of Education in South Africa: Public Universities vs. Education Town (Maharishi Institute (MI) In South Africa, public universities spend an average of R142,704 per student annually. But the ROI for donors? A mere 21x over a graduate's lifetime. Now, compare that to the Maharishi Institute (MI), where the cost per student is just R114,000, and donors receive an incredible 79x ROI. That's 3-4 times greater return for society! What sets MI apart? Lower costs: MI keeps education affordable, ensuring more students have access to quality learning. "Learn & Earn" model: Students gain practical work experience while studying, enhancing employability. Pay-it-forward system: Graduates contribute back to the system, creating a self-sustaining cycle that benefits future students. In a country with high youth unemployment, investing in quality education is key. MI’s innovative approach has the potential to transform 100,000 young lives over the next 30 years. Imagine the impact of R900 billion in lifetime career earnings generated by MI graduates! So, the big question is: How can we maximise our investment in youth and education for a better future? #EducationForImpact #YouthEmpowerment #InnovativeEducation

Right now I'm trying to raise money for an incredible cause, and it's re-teaching me something raw about sales that I rarely talk about: the fear of failure never goes away, no matter how experienced you are. The cause is powerful - for £2,500, this program provides full education and support for a young South African for an entire year. In my beautiful country where youth unemployment is endemic, 95% of students who complete this two-year program secure employment. These aren't just statistics. This is about lifting entire families out of poverty. 🌟 To make this happen, I'm organising a charity dinner on January 24th at Vivat Bacchus. 50 tickets. £400 each. Should be straightforward with my network, right? But after two weeks of hard work, I've got plenty of "yes" responses but very few actual sales. And that familiar fear is creeping in. The questions start rolling through my mind: ↳ Is the cause not compelling enough? ↳ Is the timing wrong with Christmas? ↳ Is the price point too high? ↳ Am I approaching this all wrong? The dinner date is approaching fast. With a team flying in from South Africa and so much at stake, I feel that old sales pressure building. That fear monkey sitting on my shoulder and whispering in my ear…. I've closed million-pound enterprise deals, built global sales teams, but right now, these charity dinner tickets have me questioning everything. Is this feeling of doubt, of wondering if your approach is wrong, a sign of weakness? No. I've learned it's what happens when you're trying something that matters, something beyond your usual comfort zone. Tomorrow, I'll wake up and try something new. Because that's what sales is really about: not the pitch, not the close, but the relentless determination to find a way when at first it feels like you are failing. -- Since you've stayed with me through this reflection, here's how you can be part of the solution. 👉 Tickets: £400 per person. January 24th at Vivat Bacchus. 👈 Each ticket goes beyond a great evening, it feeds four South African students for an entire year through Education Town's transformative program. We have 50 seats available. Each represents a real chance to change lives. If you're moved by this cause and want to make a difference, DM me for details. #enterprisesales #fintech #valueoverdiscount
