The adoption process has moved on in recent years, it no longer takes years to adopt, and you could be approved and matched within 12 months, with an optional 6-month break between stages should you want it. Just like all families, adoptive families go through ups, downs and detours during their journey. Throughout the process, Sara kept an adoption journal as a way of capturing all of the emotions, hopes, dreams, and surprises that her unique adoption journey entailed.
