"Let's take a moment to acknowledge that a consultant just said 'you don't need to do a maturity assessment to get started'? Can we just acknowledge that a consultancy just said 'lets go'...?!" We recently held a webinar with Malcolm Hawker of Profisee and his mind was blown 🤯 at Matthew Harris response to the question of how you assess your readiness for Microsoft Fabric and how you get started. 💬 "You just start." As Malcolm said, your business is tired of waiting. You need to move. You are ready. At Amplifi, we're excited at the potential of Microsoft Fabric for transforming how businesses manage, analyze and leverage data. For organisations seeking to become more data-driven, Microsoft Fabric offers a powerful, low barrier to entry and infinitely scalable solution to streamline workflows, optimise cost and unlock insights faster. When combined with Profisee’s MDM capabilities, Microsoft Fabric is enhanced with consistent, high-quality master data that drives better decision-making, improves data governance and supports AI-powered insights. With seamless integration into Microsoft’s data ecosystem, businesses can ensure that their analytics and business intelligence efforts are built on reliable, accurate data and unlock greater value from their digital transformation initiatives. BLOG | Gartner predicts up to 30% of GenAI initiatives will be abandoned by 2025 due to poor data quality. But while the phrase "AI is only as good as the data it works with" is widely quoted, it’s not about perfect data - it’s about fit-for-purpose data. As organizations embrace AI, success depends on understanding and labelling data, not achieving perfection. Even incomplete or imperfect data can provide valuable insights, as long as AI can recognize and learn from it. Here's why: 🔑 Fit for Purpose, Not Perfect In AI, the focus should be on ensuring data is appropriate for your specific use case. Whether it’s diagnosing patients or powering a chatbot, accuracy and relevance matter more than flawless data. Even data with flaws can teach the model valuable lessons - like how to handle misdiagnoses or outdated articles. ⚙️ Narrow Focus = Big Results Rather than perfecting all your data upfront, hone in on key use cases. Identify the data that’s critical to those applications, and ensure it’s accurate and abundant enough for AI to work with. Once you succeed with these smaller, focused projects, you can scale AI across your organization. 🌐 The Role of Metadata in GPT & RAG Models like GPT thrive on context—metadata helps determine what information is trustworthy. Using approaches like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), businesses can build on pre-trained models with targeted data, avoiding the complexity of starting from scratch. In our latest Voices blog, Michael Evans, Chief Innovation Officer at Amplifi explores how organizations can drive successful AI initiatives and hits on key points such as: 👉 Identifying feasible use cases and ensuring the AI project is realistic and can be addressed with available technology 👉 Having the right building blocks by assessing your data’s quality and structure to support AI initiatives 👉 Using expertise to execute by leveraging AI experts to fine-tune models, improve data quality and ensure long-term scalability You can read the full blog here 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e6JmjbwJ At Amplifi, we help clients focus on the right AI initiatives, ensuring that data - imperfect as it may be - can be leveraged to drive impactful outcomes. WEBINAR | "Like with any technology, you need to define the use cases. You need to think who is going to use my data catalog? What are they going to use it for? And why does that matter? The why is certainly the most important. If the outcomes are unclear you start to venture into panic mode where you're delivering disjointed use cases." Many organizations have tried to adopt, buy or build a data catalog. But many of those initiatives are abandoned or fizzle out and fail. But understanding your data has never been more important, especially in the age of AI. So how can you ensure that a project as critical as data catalog and metadata management is successful? In this webinar, David Neil from Amplifi and Ozge Mertyurek from Alex Solutions take a deep dive all things data catalog and metadata management and cover a host of topics including: ▶ Common reasons data catalog projects fail ▶ Practical tips on how to prepare so they don’t ▶ The crucial role people play in successful data catalog implementations ▶ How to assess your readiness for a data catalog initiative You can watch the full session here ▶ https://lnkd.in/eScGvx2e #DataCatalog #MetadataManagement

This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting several of our clients and partners in The Green Room hospitality suite at Twickenham for an incredible Autumn international rugby match between England and Australia. 🏉 Thanks to James McCabe, Margot W., Catherine Taylor, James Skinner, Gauri Chawla and Richard Bradbury for being such great company on the day. Big thanks also to our Amplifiers Sam Goss, Callum MacBurnie, Stuart Webber, Guy Bradshaw and Dan Malins (especially for stepping in at the last minute!) for being hosts! Not only was it a great game of rugby, spending time with legends like Lawrence Dallaglio OBE, Will Greenwood, Austin Healey, George Gregan, Ben Kay MBE and Mike Tindall was amazing too! There's absolutely nothing like getting together in person and Saturday was proof of that - we'll definitely be back in 2025! #Hospitality #Data

BLOG | Struggling to work out how to get real value from the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) in your business? LLM's have been the talk of the industry with promises of transforming organisations and the way we all work. Many of the most well-known models, such as ChatGPT, are cheap and easy to use. Yet they are limited to answering questions based upon the information contained within their initial training datasets. They're fun to use, but not scalable or fine-tuned to work for your organisation. Additionally, there are privacy concerns for businesses intending to share sensitive data with companies that have opaque terms and conditions. In this article Will Sandys, Senior Research & Development Consultant at Amplifi explains how to securely use LLMs in your organisation to boost performance and unlock new business potential. You can learn easy techniques for integrating LLMs with your internal knowledge base, all while keeping privacy intact. Read the full blog here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dkq6PmS5 #LLMs #LargeLanguageModels #RAG #AI
