  • At apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, our monthly Sunday Lunch Club is all about making a real difference in our community. Over the past 12 months, we’ve served over 600 meals to over 65s in the local community.   Each month, around 50 seniors enjoy a complimentary three-course meal, made possible through the hard work of our amazing apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods volunteers. By providing these Sunday Lunches we aim to bring members of the community together and work to combat loneliness.   This past weekend, we wrapped up the year in style with a festive Christmas Dinner, marking a perfect start to the holiday season celebrations. #MakingARealDifference  #SundayLunchClub #ChristmasDinner

  • We are pleased to have won the Circular Economy Initiative award for our closed-loop recycling scheme, “Project Boomerang” at the National Recycling Awards last night.   Having recycled over 30 million meal trays through this world first recycling system since its launch in 2021, we are extremely proud to be making a real difference in supporting a circular economy and reducing our environmental impact.    This recognition demonstrates the hard work and dedication of the whole apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods team, as well as the passion of our customers. #NationalRecyclingAwards #Winners #MakingARealDifference

  • Last week, we took part in the Schools & Academies Show at The NEC, Birmingham. It was great to connect with so many educators and professionals dedicated to the future of schools and academy trusts. We had a fantastic day showcasing how our premium pre-prepared meals are transforming dining in education settings by delivering outstanding quality, enabling serious savings, and ensuring stress-free catering. Thank you to everyone who visited our stands. We enjoyed talking with you, understanding your catering challenges, and sharing how our solution can help revolutionise school catering for you. #SAASHOW #SchoolLunches #MakingARealDifference

  • We’re proud to share that “Project Boomerang”, was highly commended at the waste2zero awards for the Best Closed Loop Project Award. This recognition highlights how much work has gone into the partnership between apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods and ISS Facility Services UK to make it such a success in hospitals. As the world's first closed-loop recycling system for ready meal trays, “Project Boomerang” is helping to reduce the carbon impact on the NHS, one tray at a time. Tackling waste is one of the biggest sustainability challenges in the out-of-home sector, particularly food and packaging, and this project shows what is possible with innovation and teamwork. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this achievement - we are truly making a real difference. #ProjectBoomerang #Waste2Zero #MakingARealDifference

Last night, BBC Question Time took place in our hometown of Trowbridge where Fiona Bruce was joined on the panel by Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, Harriet Baldwin MP, Daisy Cooper MP and former NFU President, Minette Batters.   Our own Director of Corporate Affairs, Policy and Sustainability, Lee Sheppard appeared on the show (44:34) and voiced his concern on the Government's current approach to reforming health and social care and the need for a long-term strategy that is agreed by all political parties.   "Our system in this country is too designed around treatment in hospitals and not enough about prevention in the community. This issue isn't going to be resolved in any five-year Parliamentary cycle. What we need is a long-term strategy for health and social care." • As this week was National School Meals Week, we wanted to highlight the important role that school meals play in supporting children’s mental well-being, as well as their physical and academic growth. By offering nutritious, premium pre-prepared meals, we help students stay energised, focused, and ready to learn. At apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, we understand that when meals are fun, kids are more excited to eat them. That’s why we create themed menus that spark their imagination and curiosity. For example, during World Book Day, we served dishes like Gruffalo Tusks (Fish Goujons) and Jack’s Magic Beans (Bean Chilli) – meals that brought their favourite stories to life.   School meals provide more than just fuel for the body – they help children feel their best, mentally and physically, ensuring they thrive in the classroom. #NSMW #SchoolCatering #MakingARealDifference

  • In the UK alone, 4.4 million people live with diabetes, and there are an estimated 1.2 million individuals who may have type 2 diabetes but have not yet been diagnosed. Diabetes can affect anyone, regardless of age or background, and its impact goes beyond just blood sugar levels. If not managed effectively, it can lead to serious health complications. Making informed dietary choices can significantly impact the management of diabetes and contribute to overall health and well-being. At apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods we are committed to catering to everyone’s nutritional needs, ensuring that those living with diabetes have access to delicious and balanced meal options. #NationalDiabetesDay #MakingARealDifference #InclusiveDining
