Last week, our very own Chris Gill and Sam Borrett had the privilege of visiting the redevelopment project at The Hemel Hempstead School. The skilled team at A2O Facades is installing Ash & Lacy's NaturAL-X brick cladding system with exceptional precision. The brick slips combine Stretcher and Stackbond formats, showing the system's adaptability. The elevations also include stepped imitation window detailing. This exciting project includes the construction of the East Block, a cutting-edge, net-zero carbon teaching facility that will house state-of-the-art classrooms for English, Art, Food Technology, Computing, and SEND. Exciting progress is underway at Eddington! Last week, our Operations Manager, Chris Gill, captured snapshots of the impressive strides being made on site. Under Mateusz Madrzyk's project management, with Sali Hoti leading the installation team, Craft Interior Limited's site team is turning the design vision into something that we can all be proud of. The façade is taking shape beautifully with our lightweight, panelised Gebrik system, which is perfectly suited for modular housing and timber frame builds. Paired with the stunning Vandersanden Corum Eco brick slips, this project highlights the precision, quality, and versatility that Gebrik brings to every structure. Northwick Park Hospital – Multi-Platform Rooftop A&E Expansion This project saw the creation of a compliant 32-bed short-stay ward above London’s busiest A&E department at Northwick Park Hospital London, in one of the most complex build programmes ever undertaken by MTX to date. The challenging location in the middle of a busy hospital site required the use of one of Europe’s heaviest lifting tower cranes to install the multi-platform MMC build. The dedication of the entire MTX team ensured safe delivery in record time, with minimal operational disruption. 🏆 MTX Contracts Ltd won the Best Use of Hybrid Technology at the 2024 #OffsiteAwards for this project. One of the Judges had to say this - "Protection of operational capability was clearly of paramount importance on this project. The combination of technical competencies and use of materials, with thoughtful consideration of MMC solutions, delivered a practical and sympathetic addition to hospital capacity.
