New Year, New Job? We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in our Ripley office, also covering our Alfreton hub. You will manage your own portfolio of Clients, assisting with Personal and Company Tax & Accounts. You will assist with onboarding Clients, dealing with new enquiries and meet Clients. This is the first Senior Accountant hire in our Ripley Office; You should be able to work autonomously with support from our Accountancy team in Derby. This role offers great progression for the right candidate to grow the role and shape the Office as it grows. You should have 4+ Years experience of working in Practice and be AAT/ACCA qualified. Our Ripley office has quickly grown due to our Community Engagement programme, providing Workshops, Networking events, Training and more. We provide mentoring to Clients with a blended Compliance and Advisory offering. We have plenty more exciting plans as we grow and continue to look at innovation, growth and expanding our offering. Our growth is because we think outside of the box and provide services differently to the traditional Accountant. We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Mackenzie Sargeant, the recent winner of The Pitch Perfect Contest hosted jointly between The University of Derby and Ascentant Accountancy. The Pitch Perfect contest was an opportunity for Students and graduates to pitch their business ideas for chance to win a £1000 prize and 12 months Business support from Ascentant Accountancy. It was open to Students at the University of Derby and Students were encouraged to come up with a unique business idea that helps solve a ‘real life’ problem. Mackenzie has received a winners trophy and 12 months of Business Support from the Team at Ascentant Accountancy to provide Mentoring, Consultancy and Advice to help bring their idea into reality. Over the next 12 months, we will work closely with Mackenzie to support and help build her new business, providing the guidance and expertise needed to turn her vision into a thriving success.
