For LGBTQ+ History Month, we’re celebrating the iconic Rambert dancer and choreographer Lindsay Kemp. “Not only did Lindsay teach our founder Marie Rambert about the LGBTQ+ community but his choreography for Rambert explored what it meant to be a member of this community in the 1970’s to huge success with audiences and critics alike. I think it is so important to capture memories like Lindsay’s so they are preserved for future generations. This allows us to celebrate Lindsay’s stories and enables future generations to build on what LGBTQ+ pioneers like Lindsay Kemp created.” ⁃ Head of Archive, Daniel Albon Production shots from ‘The Parades Gone By’ which Lindsay choreographed. Drawings by Irene Muir who was a close friend of Lindsay’s. #ItsYourMove #RambertArchive #LindsayKemp #LGBTQHistoryMonth
