The Basejump closed alpha avatar launch hub goes live imminently, with a full game experience set to debut in early 2025. Using the avatar hub, anyone can try out an AI-powered $ACTION FIGURE model for free, and Broadsiders can unlock 1/1 $ACTION FIGURE versions of their Broadside OGs, compatible with thousands of worlds, games and platforms.
Basejump runs on ACTION, an open, permissionless, AI-driven substrate developed by the Basejump team on AO / Arweave, which enables users to generate content without any coding skills, making game creation more accessible and interactive. Think ChatGPT for games, except every game also exists as a block, minted by the AO supercomputer, stored forever on Arweave.
The open beta of Basejump Battle Mode landing in early 2025 lets players compete in an awesome social battle experience, and also earn, explore, and share game assets, and even create entire new games instantly, using ACTION.
In Battle Mode, players will be able to unlock $ACTION FIGURES, forge them into unique warriors, and equip them with $ACTION ITEMS to further their mission. Basejump will be able to host avatars from any game, chain or community thanks to the ACTION substrate. Because ACTION is built on AO, players will be able to bring avatars, items, and skins into an expanding universe of worlds and games that can be created (and minted) instantly with a text prompt, opening up new possibilities for gaming, culture and commerce.
Over the coming months we’ll be playtesting and creating with the Broadside, AO and Arweave communities, adding features and opening up the alpha experience to more communities. In early 2025, we will launch the open beta of Basejump Battle Mode with a real-world activation event so big, it will be visible from space, and have a positive impact on the planet for years to come.
When we started, the Broadside community showed us a future where interoperable game avatars jumped between worlds seamlessly, and every game asset was an onchain building block. Thanks to Community Labs investment, and the AO / Arweave ecosystem, that future is now here, and its name is Basejump.
