🐈🐾Relaxation only for Azula! She arrived in the first litter of kittens born at Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch) in 2024. Here's an update on how Azula is getting on post-adoption. "Azula has settled right in and made herself at home. She loves her brother (although sometimes the love might not be reciprocated!), enjoys her zoomies and long sleeps on my legs. The rehoming experience with you guys was great, I’ve adopted both my cats from you and would adopt again in the future." #TransformingLives

🐱🐶🙏 Thank you to BBC News Points West for shining a spotlight on Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch) on Saturday's evening news. Their news item featured the story of pet owner, Tanyia and her dog, Luna, who receives regular healthchecks from the volunteer vets in our #TogetherProject. It also helped raise awareness of our winter appeal, raising funds to provide veterinary care for cats and dogs, both at our Centre and through our #TogetherProject vet clinic scheme. This is one of four outreach projects we provide to support pets in the local community, working in partnership with charities like Genesis Trust Bath and Julian House. https://lnkd.in/eACJFdjZ

🐶🐱🎬🎦 Tonight some of our animal superstars are appearing on BBC Points West news along with our CEO Rachel Jones, head vet, Michaela Taylor, volunteer vet, Nicola Chouler and others from the #TogetherProject. Please watch if you can to hear more about the work of the Together Project. It involves volunteer vets and vet nurses running monthly vet clinics in #Bath for the much-loved pets of vulnerably housed or homeless people who are supported by Genesis Trust Bath or Julian House. Terry the Lurcher features in the filming as does Luna the Chihuahua cross. Plus some wonderfully playful cats from our Fuller cattery at Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch). 🐱🐶🙏 Thank you to everyone who donated gifts, toys and treats for our cats and dogs this Christmas. Generous gift collections arrived from Thrive Group UK, Appetito and from the #BradfordonAvon Christmas Giving Tree (especially amazing as the town was badly flooded during Storm Bert). Every rescue animal at Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch) was given a gift on Christmas day. Thank you for thinking of them. 🎄🙏

🐕🐶 Chihuahua cross, Luna, (pictured) and Staffie, Marley May have been receiving regular check ups and treatment thanks to our #TogetherProject and its volunteer vet team. This outreach programme provides veterinary care for pets belonging to people who are vulnerably housed or homeless. Pet owner, Tanyia, who is supported by Genesis Trust Bath, shared the impact the Together Project has had on her and her dogs. "I always find it beneficial to see the vets at the drop-in. They often help to keep Luna's nails in good order while giving her a check over for her general health and they keep me well informed. They have also helped with getting Luna microchipped." "It's been a great benefit to the community having the vets, my staffie dog Marley May has been kept healthy. Thanks to the Together Project he has been wormed and flea treated while also having regular routine checks. Like Luna, Marley, has been microchipped to keep him safe. The vet service is really good." 🐈🐾💙 The aptly named kitten, Kris Kringle, having an ear tickle before getting adopted. Kris gives us our final adoption figures post of the year - with six cats and two dogs adopted last week, and one lost pet reunited with their family. www.bcdh.org.uk/adopt #NewBeginnings

🐱🐶💙 Did you know we donate surplus pet food every month to Bath Foodbank run by Genesis Trust Bath? This helps local people feed their pets, enabling them to thrive, especially during these tough winter months. This year Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch) has donated over 1,400 kilos to the food bank! With generous donations from local people and businesses, we're able to transform the lives of the cats and dogs in our care, as well as supporting pets in the community. If you're able to, please support our efforts by donating to our #BCDHWinterAppeal: https://lnkd.in/enCwF5ec #transforminglives

🐱💙 One morning in September a member of our team found a tiny kitten abandoned in a cat carrier next to a skip at Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch). The appropriately named Skipper, was taken to see our vet team. He was shaken and dirty from diarrhoea and urine and needed food, water and help with his upset tummy. Skipper is one of 120 kittens rescued or born on site this year. 2024 has been a year of abandonments and neglect and, as we face the winter months, we know we will see more. You can help these vulnerable cats and dogs by donating to our #BCDHWinterAppeal. Help us transform lives: https://lnkd.in/enCwF5ec

🐱🐶💙 Last week we rehomed four cats and six dogs, and reunited two lost pets with their owners. These two cheeky faces were adopted, two terrier cross puppies who weren't with us for long. They had lots of socialisation and training at Bath Cats & Dogs Home (RSPCA Bath & District Branch) and in foster homes to get them ready for adoption. They also had all their basic medical care and check ups with us before going out into the big, wide world. Have lovely lives with your new families, little ones! www.bcdh.org.uk/adopt #NewBeginnings
