These roles will be based at our Head Office in Bournemouth, supporting the day-to-day financial responsibilities including payroll and payments to suppliers, promoters and partners across BH Live venues and leisure centres. Our ideal Finance Manager will have experience working in a busy accounting environment; experience with finance systems; and be a fantastic communicator. They will lead and manage the accounts payable, receivables and reconciliations teams, providing effective leadership and overseeing our sales and purchase invoicing processes. We are additionally seeking an experienced Management Accountant. Our ideal candidate will produce our company management accounts, including the review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all processes and account preparations are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Cool Coast Ice Rink, the South Coast’s largest seasonal indoor ice-skating rink, returns to Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) this month 🥳 Last year, the popular attraction saw more than 40,000 attendances. And this year there are lots of new sessions to accommodate even more! We’re really pleased to be able to deliver a more accessible experience this year by providing advanced skate sessions and relaxed sessions. Thanks to a multimillion-pound partnership project between BCP Council and BH Live, facilities and event spaces at Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) have recently been refurbished - and we think they look great! 💙 Two of the venue’s event spaces have been completely remodelled, with enhancements including a modernised foyer, brand-new glazing, improved outdoor signage, and new bathroom facilities. We are proud to be supporting this year’s Captioning Awareness Week, an annual campaign led by Stagetext, a deaf-led charity bringing text-based deaf access to arts and culture through captions and subtitles 💙 Did you know that 18 million adults in the UK are deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing? That’s one in three people that could benefit from captions or subtitles to experience the joy of live events. A project to transform artificial training pitches at BH Live Active, Pelhams in North Bournemouth has completed - and they look great! ⚽ The centre’s outdoor five-a-side pitches were resurfaced with the latest in 3G rubber crumb technology to replicate a traditional football pitch. New kickboards, netting and fencing were also installed to improve the player's experience as part of a £240K investment from BH Live 🎉 Maddison, Arsenal football goalie for the women's U21 team, regularly trains at the centre through the FANS (Free Access for National Sportspeople) membership scheme. Today, presenters Ed Sault from BBC South Today and Steve Harris from BBC Radio Solent will be swapping their studios for swimming pools as they take on The Thousand Mile Challenge for BBC Children in Need 🏊 Swim teams at BBC radio stations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will attempt to swim 24 miles each – adding up to that one thousand mile total.
