  • Building a truly transformational strategic partnership, with Megan Marsden and Natalie Wood - new podcast! Building a transformational strategic partnership is not easy. But this inspiring example shows it can be done! In March 2024 Bowel Cancer UK launched a three-year partnership with Andrex, the UK’s leading toilet roll brand. This award-winning partnership is already changing attitudes, as well as increasing awareness of the symptoms of the disease. The partnership is worth an extra £2.3m to the charity. This is on top of its ongoing activity, which raises awareness of symptoms to look out for on toilet roll packaging in 10 million homes in the UK. • Did you know one of the services we offer is training days for charity fundraising teams? 🙌 We've found that when one person gets better at an important fundraising skillset, your charity makes progress. When a whole team learns together you can really build momentum. Bright Spot offers a range of in-house training days to help your team improve their skills, confidence and results. Here is an outline of one of our most popular masterclasses: - 🌟 Influencing Donors and Supporters 🌟 Becoming more prepared and skilful in how you conduct informal meetings with supporters, donor and partners makes a huge difference to your fundraising results. This one-day influencing masterclass will help your team hear “Yes!” more often when they talk to supporters. This not only improves the immediate results, it also lifts people’s confidence to seek out even more conversations with donors. 👉 Building Rapport – What to say, and importantly, in what order. 👉 Story Power – Three little-known techniques that make it easier to inspire. 👉 Your Case – Practice with our Magic Formula system to find and use the messages that really work. 👉 Psychology Of Influence – How to apply Professor Robert Cialdini’s influencing research in your fundraising. 👉 The Fundraiser’s Meeting Checklist – Practice with this tool to drive up your influencing results. Once a year as co-chairs Neil Harman MCIOF(Dip) and I have a great opportunity to bring the members from the Mental Health and Community NHS Charities Together 💙 group face to face, to showcase best practice and support each other to grow the reach of our community based charities. This year we were extremely honoured to have Rob Woods as our special guest. A big thank you to Rob for joining us and sharing some key messages including ‘The curse of knowledge’ ‘The magic formula’ ‘Deeper relationships- getting more coffees’ and the importance of ‘storytelling’ I cannot recommend Rob and the Bright Spot team enough. From the leaders sessions, to group training and free podcasts, the resources are invaluable so take a look at the website below👇 A great end to the year for the group - bring on 2025! 💙 🌟 https://lnkd.in/eZQMwQnn

☕ Its always an interesting morning when it starts with Bright Spot 's Breakfast Club for Fundraising Leaders. 💡 Huge thanks to Rob Woods and Jhumar Johnson for sharing such useful tips on different approaches to growing fundraising income, as well as building resilience. ↕️ Although there were many great insights, in particular Jhumar's section on resilience and the reminder that we need to embrace falling in order to bounce back really hit home - so this is your reminder (and mine) to be more Tigger! 📅 Looking forward to the next #BreakfastClub in 2025! #fundraising #brightspot #webinar #insight
