About us
Briteyellow is a smart spaces software and technology company. We provide indoor location apps and sensors that help transport and health care operators to enhance customer experience and improve business efficiency from deep location insights provided through our high definition virtual guides and augmented wayfinding apps, and remote monitoring sensors. BriteLocate3D is our cloud software and Internet of Things platform that provides a complete end-to-end solution for footfall monitoring, asset tracking, and mixed-reality 3D wayfinding applications. It operates both indoors and outdoors, allows discovery of local information through mobile and web apps, and enables rapid creation of custom mixed-reality applications. Facility owners and operators can use it to create white label applications with geo-fenced alerts and content. The system uses multiple wireless and low power networks for higher resolution and resilience, with a positioning accuracy from less than 1m. BriteLocate includes our location engine, scanners, gateways, sensors, and tags.

The failure of London North Eastern Railway to provide pre-booked assistance for Tanni Grey-Thompson is both shocking and disappointing. It’s disheartening that disabled individuals still face such challenges today, risking their safety to disembark from trains despite having arranged assistance in advance. This ongoing issue affects 15 million disabled people in the UK, which is unacceptable given the available solutions. Briteyellow’s Briteway solution was specifically designed to address this problem. Briteway allows disabled travellers to connect directly with travel assist staff at stations, ensuring immediate support in emergencies. Developed with support from the Transport Pathfinder project and the Department for Transport, and funded by Innovate UK through the The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design (Design Age Institute), it has already been piloted by Transport for Wales. There is no reason for any disabled passenger to be let down and embarrassed by train operators like London North Eastern Railway. The technology to solve this issue exists today, and Briteway is ready for implementation across all UK rail stations. It’s time for rail companies to meet the accessibility needs of disabled rail passengers as mandated by the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.
