Last night, I attended the UK Bus Awards in #London, celebrating the incredible achievements across the industry. It was great to connect with others who are committed to improving the bus and coach sector and to see so many individuals and teams being recognised for their hard work. Unbelievable – that’s the only way to describe the last few days. The support from the industry has been staggering. So many suppliers complimenting us on our marketing and operators coming to the show with the intention of talking to the team to find out what we can do to help their businesses. Our aim is always to be fair, open and honest, and hopefully, that’s what we managed to convey to everyone we met at EURO BUS EXPO this week. The focus on our stand was a large (noisy) spinning wheel of fortune kindly sponsored by our amazing industry friends Scott Bell and Laura Hadzik from JMW Solicitors LLP. The intention was to 'Spin to Win' for charity, and it worked. Over the last few days, we’ve raised £539! £213 for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, Liverpool £184 for Women's Aid Federation of England £142 for #ANDYSMANCLUB Thank you to everyone who came to the stand, got involved and spoke to us – we’re truly grateful. In addition to attending the show, we also invested in the industry by supporting the #routeoneawards. Much like the show, that event didn’t disappoint. C9 Recruitment sponsored the 'Large Bus Operator of the Year – Over 150 Vehicles', which was won by Nottingham City Transport. From all of us at C9 Recruitment, congratulations to David Astill and his team for winning this prestigious award. So, day two of EURO BUS EXPO, Shaun O'Brien is already busy spinning our charity wheel with lots of operators, just seen Jon Hughes from Alpine travel, he spun the wheel and C9 Recruitment donated £2 to Women's Aid Federation of England, this was swiftly followed by Alex Crawford from routeone Magazine.
