It also examines the approaches and strategies employed in developing and deploying suptech applications, along with the associated challenges and risks. 🗺️ This year’s report draws from a robust dataset that includes feedback from 127 financial authorities from 97 countries across six continents, representing a total population of approximately 5.2 billion people. It also integrates valuable insights from the industry side, leveraging information provided by 23 qualified suptech vendors that participated in a targeted industry questionnaire designed to capture their views on the state of suptech, emerging trends, and challenges. About us
The Cambridge SupTech Lab is an initiative for Innovation Leaders who are shaping the future of financial supervision. We produce ground-breaking research, deliver leadership training, and build cutting-edge SupTech applications, providing financial supervisors with a platform for problem-solving where they can harness creativity and data-science to bring innovative solutions to life. An initiative of the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, the Cambridge SupTech Lab aims to accelerate the creation and adoption of supervisory technology (SupTech) to enable effective digital supervision and regulation for greater protection of consumers and more scalable, sustainable delivery of financial services. This is achieved through a combination of: - Empirical research and the development of a shared body of knowledge - Co-creation of a scalable digital toolkit - Provision of education, training, peer learning and technical assistance.
