Based on the MODO Leaderboard, we outperformed average 2-hour battery performance by 23%. MAJOR LNG AGREEMENT IN BRAZIL We’re happy to have recently announced a major LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement with Petrobras, the leading Brazilian integrated oil & gas company. Under the contract, Petrobras will purchase 0.8 millions tons pr annum of LNG for 15 years, commencing in 2027. The agreement comprises approximately 30% of our US portfolio, and will be sourced through previous supply agreement for Sabine Pass and Delfin. Our Global Head of LNG, Arturo Gallego commented: “we are very happy to have reached this long-term agreement with Petrobras. This deal is another milestone in our approach of building long-term partnerships, and repositions our portfolio to capture more market opportunities. FIRST BATTERY OPTIMISATION AGREEMENT IN FINLAND Our ambitions are grand, green and global, and we’re proud to deliver on expanding our market presence by the signing of an optimisation agreement with Aquila Clean Energy EMEA for a 50MW Grid-Scale Battery located in Kotka, Southern Finland. As part of the deal we will take on optimising the battery to support balancing of the power grid and maximise revenue generation through applying a multi-market optimisation approach with participation in spot and ancillary service markets. Our VP of Renewable Energy Trading & Optimisation, Kristian Gjerløv-Juel elaborates: “This agreement is an important milestone for us. We have delivered PPAs for +20 years and today, we manage over 8.5GW of renewable and flexible assets across the Nordics – however, this is our first BESS optimisation agreement signed in the region." He continues: “BESS will be a cornerstone technology when phasing out fossil energy – and we have already built extensive capabilities and experience with BESS optimisation in the UK and Belgium. This agreement underlines our ability to successfully bring tried-and-tested optimisation capabilities into new markets and do our part to help energise a greener, fairer future.” The agreement will support further grid stability and -balancing in Finland, while the country continues to have significant growth in the development of renewable generation. Growing shares of renewables in the power grid drives greater demand for flexible assets, and with the ability to deliver cost-effective energy storage that maximises the utilisation of green electricity available to the grid, batteries are set to play a key role.
