Collins has been established since 1956 and our core business has always been the provision of refurbishment and fit out services to owners and occupiers. We deliver projects from £50,000 to £30 million under most forms of contract within the commercial office, healthcare, education and leisure sectors. The majority of our projects are carried out in London and the South East area, although we have undertaken projects nationally for existing clients. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and finish. Our proactive, flexible and honest approach enables us to negotiate over 40% of our turnover, and over 90% of our work is repeat business from existing clients and consultants.

On a 100,000 sq. ft site with 150 people and a single offloading point, coordinating materials is vital to staying on track. Working with its partners and subcontractors, the Citi View team applied an Adaptability and Precision approach. When delays arose, tasks were rescheduled to keep momentum. And attention to detail was essential. The 353 beds were not uniform. No wall was perpendicular or square to any other part of the building. Internal dimensions, riser locations and ductwork varied substantially. As a team, we designed joinery, ductwork and developed bathroom co-ordination to allow substantial tolerance. A completed pre-student Citi View can finally be revealed. This £30m, 100,000sq ft, 353-bed Student Accommodation in Paddington is in full use after 15 months on site. Working in partnership with FaulknerBrowns, Paragon Construction Consultants, MS Construction Consultants, Link MEP Consulting Engineers Ltd, Portland Consulting Engineers, Cundall, DP9 Limited, Jensen Hughes, Salus (Building Control & Fire Safety Consultants) Ltd and Clement Acoustics Ltd, the team has created Zone One’s most contemporary and inclusive student accommodation space, on behalf of our client Union Property Services Ltd. We have expanded the building to deliver an additional 25 student bedrooms, demolished and replaced two lift and stair cores, created learning spaces, social areas and a gym and installed a new roof, windows, and repairs to the façade, all before delivery of a high-quality Cat B fit-out. Work is underway for a Q1 2025 finish at our £9.6m, Grade II listed building Cat A refurb in London Bridge to create a prime located office space. Careful sandblasting of original and exposed brickwork within the double height reception and across the three floors will preserve the fabric of the asset. Careful restoration of all windows using full lining and plaster reveals will protect the original designs and showcase the spectacular views across the Thames.
