Transforming the lives and futures of young people through businesses who act as a force for good

About us

Community of Purpose is a Community Interest Company who act as a link between communities and a range of local authority and voluntary organisations to develop activities and services to generate aspiration, confidence and address inequalities. We help people plan what is needed and support them to take appropriate action. Our main projects are the Bristol Young Hereos Awards, Bristol Together Championships and Break Free. To support our various projects, you can enter the Bristol Better Lottery for just £2/ week, which supports the work of Community of Purpose and gives you the chance to win up to £1000 in our Weekly Draw and £10,000 in our Annual Draw! BRISTOL YOUNG HEROES AWARDS: The annual Bristol Young Heroes Awards recognises the valuable contribution that Bristol’s young people aged 11 to 19 make to the city, particularly those who have overcome difficult circumstances, made a difference in the lives of others or who have achieved the extraordinary! BRISTOL TOGETHER CHAMPIONSHIPS: Bristol Together Championships focuses on building a tolerant and inclusive City by twinning primary schools from very different demographics. Using the universal language of football to help community cohesion by getting boys and girls crossing the race, class, geographical and faith boundaries that characterise life in the city. BREAK FREE: Break Free is helping to combat holiday hunger in South Bristol. Working with Youth Moves the project offers young people a wide range of accessible sporting activity alongside healthy meals.
