COP Resilience Hub
Non-profit Organizations
An inclusive space to mobilise action on climate resilience and adaptation at COP29, COP30 and beyond.
About us
The Resilience Hub is designed to connect and inspire people across business, civil society, academia and government to collaborate and scale up action that builds resilience to the impacts of climate change and makes communities around the world safer, healthier and more just. We are motivated by the urgent need to increase the level of ambition and finance given to building resilience, particularly for the world’s most vulnerable populations, and placing locally informed, equitable solutions centre stage in the run up to and during the annual UN Climate Change Conference (COP). Following on success at COP26 in Glasgow, COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh and COP28 in Dubai, with thousands of participants in-person and online each year, the Resilience Hub is returning as a dynamic, inclusive virtual and physical space in the Blue Zone at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan in November 2024. For the first time ever, we will also be taking the Resilience Hub ‘on the road’, putting on a series of events in the run up to COP, including during London Climate Action Week in June and Climate Week NYC in September.

🎨 Rohan Chakravarty was our #COP29 COPToonist! Rohan, notorious for rolling up into a ball like a pangolin to avoid meeting people, is a cartoonist, illustrator and the creator of Green Humour, a series of cartoons, comics and illustrations on wildlife and nature conservation. He is also the author of seven books and has won awards from UNDP, Sanctuary Asia, WWF International, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), and Bangalore Literature Festival for his work. To bring art forward at COP29, artists collaborated with the Resilience Hub at #COP29Azerbaijan. From graphic harvests to COPtoons, these creatives interpreted our COP29 programming through beautiful and thought-provoking media. 🖌 Rohan's books are available internationally here: 📌 https://lnkd.in/eTHrCQ89

On Day 3 of #COP29 at the COP Resilience Hub, I had the opportunity to attend two thought-provoking sessions, with Inkasar Aziz. The first session, "#Building #Resilient #Infrastructure: #From #COP28 to #COP30," brought together diverse leaders to discuss how resilience strategies can address global and regional climate challenges. The discussion emphasized the need for innovative solutions to build infrastructure that can withstand the impacts of climate change while addressing the needs of vulnerable communities. The second session, "#Financial #Innovations and #Insurance at the #Grassroots #Level," highlighted the importance of scaling innovative financial solutions across health, gender, and nature-based approaches. It was inspiring to see representatives from CSOs and the finance sector come together to explore equitable adaptation strategies that can create meaningful change at the grassroots level.
