What a year 2024 has been for CSX! It’s been a year of growth, learning, and expanding our impact. To say we’re proud of what we’ve achieved together in an understatement. As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on the transformative developments that have shaped our work: 🔹 BNG legislation: February saw the introduction of mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) in England, requiring developers to deliver a 10% net biodiversity improvement for planning applications. This legislation has redefined approaches to sustainable development. 🔹 Carbon capture and clean energy: Significant investments, including £3.9 billion for carbon capture projects, have highlighted the critical role of carbon offsetting and storage in combating climate change. 🔹 New BSI Flex standards: The BSI Flex standards 701, 702, and 703, which underwent public consultations in 2024, set out requirements for nature markets in the UK. These milestones underscore the urgency and opportunity in addressing environmental challenges. At CSX, we’re proud to have contributed to these efforts, supporting developers and landowners in achieving measurable, lasting impacts.
