Back in November, I appeared in front of @UK House of Lords Digital committee to share our views on key challenges to be addressed when accelerating innovations in the UK and growth opportunities from deep technology adoptions, including AI. Our view was clear, that access to compute, infrastructure and curated data sets are critical to the future of AI success and growth for the UK. Today, it’s a pleasure to be invited to UCL where Keir Starmer announced the AI Opportunities Action Plan. Congratulations to Peter Kyle, Matt Clifford and the team for their 50 point plan. Digital Catapult is a supporter of this proposal and will work to ensure we're actively contributing to the practical application & adoption of #AI along with our support for implementing the National Data Library in collaboration with the Catapult Network. Over the past decade, we've been finding solutions that benefit the UK where #deeptech can play a major part in enhancing citizens' lives. Three highlights include: ▪️ AI-first startups are already proving to be of immense value to the UK’s industrial landscape, representing a £550 billion opportunity for the UK over the next decade. ▪️ Many AI-first startups across the country are unable to scale their solutions, blocked by barriers to accessing essential infrastructure therefore we must close the compute and connectivity gap to ensure startups can transition from promise to impact. Access more as a public service to drive innovation and protect citizen data through curated data sets. Digital Catapult have been enabling AI solutions that benefit the UK to reach the market faster, thereby enhancing citizens' lives. We look forward to continuing our work and championing this collective effort. It was also great to see Vishal Kumar part of our start-up alumni & investment community at today's event we are excited to continue to support Alice Camera on its growth journey.
