Great start to 2025 for Robertson Homes - planning permission in principle has been secured for Calder Park Road, Mid Calder at appeal (PPA-400-2136). Geddes Consulting managed the application submission, preparing the planning, landscape and design statements informed by robust technical assessments by the project team. The comprehensive appeal case was supported by Shepherd and Wedderburn. The Reporter ultimately concluded that the proposed development would meet the requirements of NPF4 Policy 16 other than part f) iii) due to the lack of a delivery pipeline. A balanced planning judgement was reached on the nature of non-compliance versus material considerations, concluding that the material considerations presented outweighed the conflict.
