⚠️Calling operators, transport managers and drivers⚠️ Do you carry out international journeys in lorries or coaches? When making international journeys between the UK and EU, PSVs with more than 10 seats: - should be operating under the AETR drivers’ hours and tachograph rules ✅ - should still have a smart 2 tachograph fitted by 31 December 2024 ✅ From 31 December 2024, drivers of HGVs over 3.5 tonnes being used for international journeys between the UK and EU will need to produce 56 days of records instead of 28. We have made some changes to the DVSA load security guidance to make it clearer. There is more guidance on carrying out appropriate risk assessments on loads. 📜 We have also included clarification on covering loose loads and some other minor amendments.
