Education and Skills Funding Agency reposted this
I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to confirm the Local Government Pensions Scheme guarantee for FE bodies in the statutory sector. This will mean that the sector will benefit from direct Government backing for certain pension costs, in the same way as academies already do. This should see lower pension scheme costs for individual colleges and the freeing up of cash savings to be redirected towards education and learning opportunities. Thanks to Education and Skills Funding Agency colleagues for all the work to make this a reality and to colleagues across FE for their advocacy in this space.

To provide certainty to the sector, ESFA has published the academy trust handbook 2024. The academy sector is responsible for over £30 billion of public funding, and it is crucial that there is a framework that supports effective financial management, governance and oversight. https://lnkd.in/edQhcWBM
