Does the UK need to go back to school? 🏫 With the conclusion of the highly charged election, the UK now stands on the brink of significant change under a new Labour Government, bolstered by a substantial majority. The opportunity for meaningful reform is within reach—if the will is there to seize it. Yet, when we turn our gaze to the state of wellbeing in the UK, the picture becomes far bleaker. Physical, mental, and financial wellbeing are in crisis. Obesity rates are soaring, mental health services are buckling under immense pressure, and financial instability looms over millions. With a looming budget deficit and the likelihood of increased taxes, resources to address these critical issues seem more constrained than ever. But there is a glimmer of hope—our schools. By focusing on prevention and instilling healthy habits early on, we have the potential to create lasting change. It's time to rethink how we approach wellbeing, starting with the next generation.
