We are proud to be working with Leeds Federated Housing Association on the regeneration of Sugar Hill Close and Wordsworth Drive, procured through the Efficiency North Framework. The first 10 homes are now complete, and residents celebrated their move with a special event alongside local councillors and stakeholders. It covers the installation, refurbishment and maintenance of lifts and lifting equipment in residential, public and commercial buildings, the framework is the latest ‘Gen-4’ version and is available to multiple contractors in two lots. Our newest apprentices starting their careers with EN:Able Futures are David and Ewan. 🔹 David Wilkinson – Level 3 Construction Support Technician hosted by Caddick Construction Limited . David is already making an impact on the Dane Park development in Hull, taking on key responsibilities like site checks and walkarounds ahead of starting college in January. 🔹 Ewan Cross – Level 2 Roofer with Hi Point Access, working on Sheffield City Council projects and private contracts. Ewan has shown great initiative both on-site and in the yard and starts at Leeds College of Building in February. Apprenticeship Manager Job Overview: Reporting to the Training Manager, the Apprenticeship Manager will take on the management of individual apprentices across our growing programme, ensuring a high standard of support and outcomes. This role involves direct engagement with employers, apprentices, and internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of apprenticeship schemes. The Apprenticeship Manager will oversee end-to-end management of apprenticeships, allowing the Training Manager to focus on strategic growth and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities: • Apprentice Management: o Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing guidance and support throughout their learning journey. o Oversee apprentice progress, attendance, and outcomes, addressing issues promptly to ensure success. o Track progress against individual learning plans and provide regular updates to employers and stakeholders. • Employer Engagement: o Act as the primary liaison between apprentices, employers, and training  providers, ensuring alignment on apprenticeship goals. o Identify and address employer needs, maintaining strong relationships to  support business retention and growth. • Programme Coordination: o Work with the Training Manager to ensure high-quality delivery of  apprenticeship schemes, aligning with the Quality Management System  (QMS). o Coordinate with trainers, assessors, and other internal staff to support seamless delivery of apprenticeship programmes. • End-Point Assessment (EPA): o Oversee the preparation of apprentices for EPA, ensuring they are fully  equipped to meet assessment criteria. o Collaborate with the Training Manager to integrate feedback from EPA results into programme improvement. Skills & Experience Required: • Experience managing apprenticeships or similar programmes in a professional training or educational environment. • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and apprenticeship standards. • Level 4 qualification (or higher) in a relevant field (e.g., agriculture, environmental management). • Assessor qualification (TAQA or equivalent) is desirable. Working Conditions: • Hybrid role with frequent travel to employer sites and training locations. • Occasional evening or weekend work as required

Thank you to Julie Cullen (Business Development Manager EN:Able Communities) & Julie Deeley (Director of Operations for EN:Able Futures) for hosting another successful EN:Connect Employment & Skills session with our fantastic guest speaker Richard Rigby - Head of UK Government Affairs at The King's Trust.    The session provided an opportunity to hear about the new 'Get Britain Working' paper and some of the changes that this brings alongside the work that the Youth Employment Group do to ensure there is a quality employment, education or training pathway for all young people, particularly the most marginalised.   We also explored the key findings of the Youth Voice Census Report 2024, the largest survey of young people in the UK and how we can address any concerns or opportunities young people may see.
