What a success our residential was! Wonderful students and wonderful staff. With time and patience it’s incredible what these kids can do with a second (or third) chance! ❤️🌟😂

This morning, Esteem Valley Academy hosted a fantastic breakfast meeting for our School Council members from all three sites! It was inspiring to see students from KS2 to KS4 come together, sharing their thoughts on rewards, trips, and school improvements. We had lively discussions about what's working well and how we can enhance our learning environment. Students confidently presented their ideas, demonstrating impressive engagement and giving constructive feedback. It's truly rewarding to witness their passion and commitment to making our academy even better. And yes, the croissants were a definite hit! Our year 10s have been very busy this week! They have been at Ascot Drive fire station as part of their Yes Program. Our students have been learning 'on the job' about: PPE and safety using the hoses and ladders , and even using appropriate breathing apparatus to escape a smoke filled building. #FireService #WorkPlacement #FireService #Derbyshire #Enrichment #Curriculum #SkillsForLife

Another great start at Whitemore Lakes. After a full breakfast we were off out to enjoy the sunshine .☀️ It’s great to see the communication, leadership and communication skills developing. Lots of talents to be celebrated; all while growing meaningful friendships and relationships. ❤️🌈

We had a wonderful first day and night at Whitemoor Lakes; on our two day residential. We did some team building games and some high ropes. It’s a lovely setting and the pupils have had a great opportunity to be included in an over night trip. They have really done us proud. And we all had a bit of sleep! 😴 Bring on day 2! 🌈

As we prepare to return back to school on Monday, we wonder who will be our next reward winners and receive a well deserved prize or experience.
