The recent Employment Appeal Tribunal decision in 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘭𝘤 𝘷. 𝘔𝘴. 𝘏𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 sheds light on redundancy protections during maternity leave, providing clarity on when the MAPLE Regulations apply. In the case of 𝘕𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘷 𝘙𝘦𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘭, the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) overturned a Tribunal decision that dismissed a claim because the grievance procedure was incomplete.
