A belated thank you to Positive Youth Foundation in Coventry for inviting our CEO Sarah Nelson for taking part in national event “What’s Next for Youth Work”! We had a great time meeting young people, practitioners and representatives from a range of young people organisations. It’s lovely to see this video snapshot from the day.
One week on from our 'What's Next for Youth Work' National Event, we are reflecting on the exceptional engagement from panel and audience members. Further images and research information will be shared next week, but for now, here's a brief clip of some of the action! Watch this space 👀🧡

Founder of Skate Cabal | Technical Project Management (SaaS) in Public Sector | Multi-Award Winning Change-maker & Innovator Leading Impactful Community Initiatives | Board Member Driving Innovation & Shaping Change
🏆 I am deeply honored to have won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 Business award, presented by the Newham Chamber Of Commerce and sponsored by the London Borough of Newham Three years ago, I pitched the idea of Skate Cabal at Old Stratford Town Hall. Yesterday, I returned to the same Town hall, receiving recognition for what that vision has become—a movement rooted in inclusivity, community, and impact. This award is not just mine, it’s a reflection of the unwavering support from my family, team, supporters, collaborators, funders, and the entire Skate Cabal community. Skate Cabal started with a vision to solve problems and create opportunities. From our first grant-funded program in 2021, we’ve gained momentum, collaborating with incredible organisation’s like Mayor of London London's Violence Reduction Unit Fight for Peace Populo Living Hackney Bridge Wrap n Rolla London Borough of Newham London Legacy Development Corporation, Good Growth Hub A New Direction Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Local Champions CIC Foundervine Centre for Entrepreneurs and many others to make skating more accessible and impactful. Entrepreneurship is about service—problem-solving, creating value, and building innovations that empower communities. It’s about navigating uncertainty. The greatest entrepreneurs serve others well, empowering their teams and creating solutions that drive change. As 2024 comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead. This is just the beginning. Let’s continue to build, innovate, and create lasting change. 🙌🏾 A huge thank you to the judges, Cllr Charlene McLean and Cllr Caroline Adaja, for recognising our work in this category. 🙏🏾 Newham Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz OBE’s keynote truly resonated with me. She highlighted the transformative power of businesses in Newham—creating jobs, growing the economy, and making a real impact in our communities. #Entrepreneurship #SkateCabal #Leadership #CommunityImpact #Newham #YoungEntrepreneurOfTheYear2024

Well done to our Community Ambassador Tiwa King in all the work that she does to make a difference in the world 👏 👏👏
Singer |Wellbeing Consultant | Founder of Beyond A Song CIC| TedX Speaker| NatWest Top100 Women in Social Enterprise 2023 & 2024 | UN Women UK delegate| Host | Empowering Mothers of Incredible Neurodiverse Children
Was an emotional and proud moment being in the room at Ministry of Justice UK with other Black Leaders, mothers and professionals as a delegate to help shape the laws around Social care for Black children with SEND for Law Commission of England and Wales. My son has taught me that my voice is a gift. No matter how tired or exhausted, I will forever use it to help shape the world I want him to live in - especially when I’m gone. Thank you to all the incredible people that used their voices today and to a special woman Agnes Agyepong who made this happen. Today reminded me how important our wellbeing is. I don’t want my son to just see my fight for him, I want him to remember and feel the joy and privilege it is to raise him and so I was extra proud to have represented NeuroVision today. To all the parents/carers - keep fighting and stay connected to communities like NeuroVisionworld on Instagram that will remind you to pour back into yourself 🤎💜

Can watching a play or theatre change someone's life? Watch this new 5 part video impact case study on "Essentially Black" by Purple Moon Drama Tanya Blake, the Sports and Enrichment Coordinator at New City College’s Tower Hamlets campus, tells us how one play supported their students to have challenging conversations about institutional racism and their own experiences.
