Though it's been a challenging year, one of the highlights for me was creating a new brand identity for https://lnkd.in/eJrekBGe, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering women to participate in triathlons by breaking down financial barriers. The logo was crafted to embody the strength and inclusivity that lie at the heart of this initiative. Its dynamic elements reflect the multi-disciplinary nature of triathlons, while the clean and modern design symbolises progress, community, and accessibility. The mark encompasses all three of the triathlon disciplines but can also be used individually. This project was a privilege to work on with Bianca Fernandez-Clark—not just because of the creative challenge, but because of the inspiring mission behind it. Fund Her Tri UK is opening doors for so many, fostering equality and making the sport more welcoming for all. Check out the full story behind the incredible work https://lnkd.in/ewRu-nZt is doing. I’d love to hear your feedback on the design and join the conversation about making sports more inclusive. Have an amazing New Year. #LogoDesign #GraphicDesign #FundHerTriUK #InclusiveSports #EmpowermentThroughDesign #TriathlonCommunity #DesignForGood #genderdiversity #BrandIdentity #LogoDesignExpert #CreativeDirection #FreelanceDesigner #DesignInspiration #GraphicDesignCommunity #VisualStorytelling #EmpowermentThroughDesign #InclusiveDesign #SportsBranding #DesignForChange #CreativeBranding #LogoDesigner #FreelanceGraphicDesigner #UXDesign #BrandStrategy #MotionGraphics #GraphicDesignPortfolio #CustomLogoDesign #DigitalDesign #TypographyDesign #CreativeSolutions #DesignForGood #InclusiveBranding #SportsMarketingDesign

Excited to see our triathlon research featured on Triathlete Powered by Outside! You may have already seen it doing the rounds on Instagram, opening up conversation within the triathlon community so please do help us to share, share, share! We conducted this research in partnership with Fund Her Tri UK surveying more than 900 female triathletes – ranging in experience from under a year to more than a decade racing in the sport – culminating in the most detailed research and analysis to date on the experience of women in triathlon racing. ⚫️ Only 3% of women reported neither being deterred from entering a race (for reasons other than cost), nor experiencing inequitable provision as a woman. ⚫️ 84% of female triathletes would be more likely to enter races that committed to equitable and inclusive treatment for women ⚫️ 67% of women are put off entering triathlon events due to the cost ⚫️ 19% of women have been put off entering triathlons because of uncertainty about making the overall cutoff times ⚫️ 24% of women have been put off entering triathlons due to a lack of available logistical information ⚫️ 57% of respondents have experienced insufficient toilet provisions at race ⚫️ 69% have only been provided with unisex t-shirts ⚫️ 24% have noticed unequal coverage of the men’s and women’s competition before, during and after a race ⚫️ 42% have found a lack of private changing facilities at events ⚫️ 28% of female triathletes in the survey have experienced physical or verbal harassment at a race ⚫️ Of triathletes who became pregnant while preparing for a triathlon, 79% lost out on at least one race entry due to pregnancy Using the results of the survey and the comments of the respondents, we have written a detailed report outlining the current state of the female experience in triathlon racing, which includes in-depth insight and analysis. We’ve also written triathlon-specific race guidelines for race organisers, which outline best practice for all events to be inclusive to women. Following these simple guidelines makes triathlon better for everyone – men benefit from steps towards inclusion too. 👀 To find out more about our triathlon report and guidelines head to our website. www.sheraces.com 💌 Interested in partnering with us or hearing more about how you can fundraise for us and the work we do? email us at hello@Sheraces.com https://lnkd.in/daJjT2rA

  • On Monday, our Chair and Co-founder Bianca Fernandez-Clark had the privilege of representing Fund Her Tri UK at the Triathlon Industry Association (TIA) & Triathlon Industry Conference (TIC24). As part of the event, insights from our recent Female Triathletes Report were shared—a powerful survey conducted alongside SheRaces, with over 900 responses from women in the triathlon community. The report highlights the barriers women face when entering events and includes race guidelines designed to improve the experience for female participants. With women making up just 32% of triathletes in the UK —and less than 10% at full-distance events—our mission to create a more inclusive and equitable sport has never been more important. The conference provided a platform to discuss these challenges and explore practical solutions to grow the sport and engage more women in triathlon. We’re grateful to TIA, Andrew Pirie and Gary Roethenbaugh for the invitation, giving us the opportunity to connect with so many passionate individuals and organisations committed to making triathlon more accessible. PLEASE SHARE!! SheRaces launches triathlon research and guidelines! 🏊🏼♀️ 🚴🏽♀️ 🏃🏻♀️ Full report and guidelines ➡️➡️➡️ https://lnkd.in/d_nSvP62 https://lnkd.in/dTxBTTpi Our original research carried out in 2022 focused on the experiences of women mostly in trail and road running. We’ve now extended this to triathlon with an in depth survey of 900 women of all experience levels. Only 3% had not been deterred from entering an event (for reasons other than cost) or had not experienced races not being designed for women. That means there is a huge opportunity to increase female participation in triathlon - as well as improve race experiences. Our goal is now to work with the whole triathlon community to break down barriers for women - of all ages, abilities and backgrounds so more women can experience the joy of swim, bike, run. Please share your feedback on the report - and share with any events, clubs and organisations that might find it useful. We are always listening to improve guidelines so please share any further suggestions you have. Huge thank you to Bianca Fernandez-Clark and Fund Her Tri UK for partnering with us on this research, and ensuring that we included a diverse range of womens’ voices, including those of Muslim athletes who have greater barriers to participation (but which events can address with simple provisions.)

  • Introducing Elyzabeth Marsh, our newest team member focusing on Social Media and sharing inspiring community stories! Elyzabeth is an Office Assistant and has been involved in triathlon for less than one year. In fact, her journey with the sport began with us! FHTUK sponsored her very first race—a triathlon-turned-duathlon due to the weather (which she won!! 🏆) Since then, she's taken on events like T100 and Weymouth Half Ironman, and is now training for the Wales Ironman in 2025 and a 50K ultra-marathon. 🤯 "Volunteering with Fund Her Tri UK feels like a natural next step to help others push their limits and discover their strength", she says. "I’m excited to join this amazing community and inspire more women to get involved in endurance sports. I can’t wait to empower more women to feel unstoppable every step of the way!" Say hello to Elyzabeth in the comments! 👋💬 #fundhertriuk #womenintriathlon

Bianca oversees all operations at Fund Her Tri UK, ensuring we continue working towards our mission of increasing gender diversity in triathlon. With many years of dedication to triathlon and full commitment to FHTUK, it's hard to believe this is not her full-time job, but she works in the Financial Services industry as a risk manager for Algorithmic Trading and AI. "I have always been very vocal about the various barriers to our community and felt frustrated that nothing seems to happen to address it," she shares. "I co-founded Fund Her Tri UK to help remove a lot of those barriers, the success of our charity speaks for itself!" • MEET THE FHTUK TEAM Introducing Laura Lopez, who wears many hats in FHTUK: she is a trustee, co-manages our mentorship programme, supports partnerships and coordinates kit donations! Laura has been with FHTUK since the very beginning, and her many skills have been essential for the growth of our charity. She is a junior doctor and started doing triathlons as an adult, having grown up without the support or means to participate. Triathlon and the tri community have transformed her confidence, helping her believe in herself and her abilities. With FHTUK, she passes it on, making other women feel included too: "There’s so much power in seeing people thrive and overcome difficulties and barriers." With three years in triathlon, she joined FHTUK to put her skills to use for a cause she believes in and to connect with other women in the sport. Say hello to Giovana in the comments! 👋💬 PS - in case you're wondering: yes, it was weird writing about myself in the third person. #fundhertriuk #womenintriathlon
