Excited to Share My Experience at 'Master Your Networking Game'! Hosted by The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and G4C North West , this event truly reinforced the power of effective networking. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with industry leaders and learn practical insights to enhance both personal and professional growth. Here are my top three takeaways from the event: 1. BIM as a Game-Changer: Building Information Modeling (BIM) is revolutionizing the construction industry, especially in large-scale projects. Professionals who can integrate BIM expertise with traditional project management skills will stand out in this competitive landscape. 2. The Value of Zero-Talent Attributes: These attributes—like adaptability, a growth mindset, and strong communication skills—are powerful ways to showcase your potential to recruiters. They highlight qualities that go beyond technical skills, proving your readiness to take on challenges. 3. Harnessing LinkedIn’s Potential: LinkedIn is more than a social platform; it’s a tool to amplify your professional brand. Enhancing your profile, reaching out directly to professionals, and preparing before networking are essential steps to making meaningful connections. As a lifelong learner, I’m committed to attending more events like this, stepping outside my comfort zone, and continuously positioning myself to maximize my potential. Currently, I’m seeking opportunities in digital consultancy, project management, or product management. With a unique combination of expertise in project management and data science, I bridge the gap between traditional industries and emerging technologies like AI/ML. I’m eager to apply my analytical and digital skills to solve real-world challenges and drive meaningful innovation. Let’s connect and explore how we can collaborate to create impactful solutions! #networkingeventmanchester #constructionindustry #tomorrowsleaders #generation4change #ciobnorth #constructingexcellence #CIOB #g4cNorthWest #networking #youngtalent

Master Your Networking Game event! Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the "Master Your Networking Game" event, organized by The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and G4C North West in collaboration with the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA). It was an enriching experience, offering a unique chance to engage with industry experts from diverse backgrounds. Thanks to the sponsors, AstraZeneca, Seddon, and Betts Associates Limited for supporting such a valuable initiative that fosters professional growth and networking. These are my key takeaways from the event: The Power of LinkedIn: One of the most impactful sessions was led by Rebecca Moloney, who provided an in-depth overview of how to harness LinkedIn effectively for building meaningful professional connections. Her insights on crafting a compelling online presence and using the platform strategically resonated deeply with me, and I’m excited to implement her tips in my own networking strategy. Soft Skills & Blended Learning: Prof. Perry Shard CEng MICE's session on blended learning was both fascinating and thought-provoking. His introduction to this evolving learning model underscored the importance of developing soft skills, adaptability, and continuous learning in today's dynamic professional environment. It was a concept that not only felt relevant but also something that I believe everyone should prioritize as part of their career development. Conversations with Industry Experts: I had the privilege of engaging in insightful conversations with professionals at various stages of their careers. These discussions provided valuable real-world perspectives and gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from those with hands-on experience, and I left with a renewed sense of purpose and inspiration for my own career journey. As someone who tends to feel a bit reserved in larger crowds, attending this event was a significant step out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad I took the initiative— not only did I gain valuable knowledge and make new connections, but I also grew more confident in my ability to network effectively. As a soon-to-be graduate of the Part 2 Architectural Assistant , this event was an excellent platform for connecting with like-minded professionals and expanding my network. I look forward to leveraging the knowledge and connections gained to continue developing both professionally and personally. #networkingeventmanchester #generation4change #CIOB #networking #PersonalGrowth #LearningJourney
