Here are some creative and engaging ways to make it even more enjoyable for learners: 🌟 12 Days of Winter Reading Challenge Set a challenge to read one short story, poem, or chapter each day. Celebrate their progress with stickers, small rewards, or extra screen time. ❄️ Winter-Themed Reading Bingo Create a bingo sheet with prompts like "Read about a snowman," "Find a word with three syllables," or "Read in your favourite cosy spot." 📖 Choose-Your-Own Adventure Books Interactive stories that let learners decide what happens next are a fantastic way to keep them engaged and curious. 🎨 Craft Inspired by Stories Get creative! After finishing a story, encourage learners to draw characters, build a Lego scene, or create a craft inspired by what they’ve read. 📝 Custom Storybooks Make reading personal by creating a custom storybook featuring the learner as the main character. Tools like StoryJumper make it simple and fun. 🔤 Winter Word Games Design a word search or crossword puzzle using key vocabulary from a story they’re reading. 🍪 Recipe Reading Explore recipes together. It’s a great way to practise reading skills while preparing seasonal treats.
