Go Ahead London had the privilege of hosting Singapore's Bus Safety Tripartite Taskforce at Camberwell Bus Garage! Led by Mr Murali Pillai SC, Minister of State for the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Transport, the delegation included representatives from Ministry of Transport, Singapore, Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore, National Transport Workers’ Union, and all four public transport operators. The visit centered on exchanging knowledge about public bus safety initiatives and practices in London, supporting the task force in further refining the existing measures in Singapore. It has been a productive and collaborative experience so far, and we are excited to continue working together towards a safer and more secure public transport system for everyone. 🚍🔒

Yesterday was an exciting morning for Go-Ahead London as we unveiled our new fleet of electric buses, which uses Pantograph charging technology, on our Route 358. At 15 miles, Route 358 is one of the longest in London, and the launch event took place at Crystal Palace, where the route serves. These buses will be charged in just six minutes at either end of the route, demonstrating our commitment to embracing innovative technology and advancing our goal of a zero-emissions fleet. Driver Isaac Nyarko-Bekoe, stated that being part of this launch has been the 'highlight of his career' and mentioned how brilliant the Irizar e-mobility ie tram bus is to drive!

Go-Ahead London are taking part in Road Safety Week with Brake, the road safety charity. Colleagues across Go-Ahead London will join millions of people across the UK learning about the impact of road crashes and celebrating the work of people who support after a road crash, during this year’s Road Safety Week. As professional drivers, it is important that extra caution in public areas is carried out in the communities that we serve. To learn more, please visit https://lnkd.in/eAq4M_DG #RoadSafetyWeek

Earlier this morning, we successfully began operating Route 217, at our Northumberland Park Garage. The 217 serves between Turnpike Lane Bus Station to Waltham Cross Bus Station. The image shared below, shows team preparing for the first bus to depart the garage. Well done to Northumberland Park Garage for ensuring that the launch went smoothly today.

We are pleased to share photos from Transport for London’s recent photoshoot at City Hall, to commemorate the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal this year. Here our Poppy Appeal wrapped buses can be seen with drivers Sergej Pachomov and Varinder 'Nikki' Rees. They are accompanied by Lorna Murphy, Director of Buses. Our wrapped buses (LT863 and Ep4) can be seen currently in service across Routes 21, 132 and 453. We are proud to be supporting the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal. #transportforlondon #royalbritishlegion #poppyappeal

Go-Ahead London are pleased to introduce you to our second cohort of Go-Ahead Women. They joined the team earlier this month, as part of our ongoing campaign for gender equality and inclusivity. Our bus driver trainees are working towards gaining their driver qualification, as well as their functional skills exams. The 'Go-Ahead Women' initiative, which launched in March this year, includes an investment of £8 million to create inclusive environments and training opportunities for all colleagues. The Go-Ahead Group has set a target to recruit 1,500 women bus drivers, aiming for 50% gender equality by 2035. To find out more, please visit: https://lnkd.in/eSKrxijb

Go-Ahead London colleagues came together today for ‘Wear it Pink’ day. Designed to raise awareness of breast cancer, colleagues from across the company supported this worthy initiative by wearing a variety of pink-coloured items of clothing. Donations from colleagues were collected to raise funds for Team Verrico. This charity supports those who are going through treatment for cancer. They also fund research into treatment and diagnosis, especially for breast cancer. We hope that you enjoy the photos of our colleagues "wearing it pink".
